This product works perfectly as intended. We bought it for our 99 year old Mother who's arms are as skinny as a child now at only 80 lbs. weight. Make sure (verify) it is intended to work with the unit that you have first before purchasing. Great product and great value.

This BP cuff is indeed small - a bit smaller than expected. It barely fits my arm but saves me the hassle of accommodating an extra long cord. It's a matter of convenience but worth the extra money.

A number of reviewers have remarked that the hard plastic nozzle that goes into the test box is a little too small. We have the HEM-711 and that was the case for us. That hard plastic part is a separate piece that attaches to the end of the flexible rubber hose. It took me a few seconds to gently work the flexible hose off the end, leaving the fitting shown in my photo. (The red lines on the left show where the hose was. The barb on that side holds the rubber hose on.) As long as you still have the cuff that came with your machine (as I did), you can just swap the fittings: Pull the fitting off the hose for the old cuff and press the end of the new hose onto it. With that done, the new cuff works perfectly. It is more comfortable and gives better readings on my 92 year-old mother-in-law's tiny arms.

This blood pressure cuff is the same quality as Omron's original equipment. It's to be used for smaller arms where the supplied cuff is too large to permit accurate measurements. I have an Omron BP7911T which requires a cuff connector that's about 7mm (~0.276"). This cuff comes with a connector that is only 4.8mm in diameter... too small to fit the BP7911T. So I modified this cuff by slipping a piece of polyethylene tubing over the 4.8mm tube and then added a short peice of heat-shrinkable tubing over that. Perfect fit! Why did I go through all that? Because this cuff is 1/3rd the cost of the equivalent Omron cuff. Just to be sure of accuracy, I then checked this cuff against a manual sphygmomanometer to find that the BP readings were identical.

This cuff is made for both children and adults who have smaller arm diameters, basically 7 to 9 inches. For small kids and most especially older adults, this cuff is excellent. Now, especially in the case of my Mother, we can get the most accurate blood pressure readings for her quickly and easily. It is made for Omron readers, which are highly rated, but might fit other brands, as well. Also, the price is very reasonable, less than expected, and the quality is professional grade. If you are going to do it, do it right. Combine this with an Omron reader, and you are using the brand many doctors rely on for quality and accuracy. They are also very easy to use, there is no "learning curve." I taught my Mother to use it in about five minutes. It now helps you to get professional quality readings quickly and easily. To me, that is a high bar for a vital part of medical care. If your doctor wants you to do readings at home, this is probably the same cuff that our doctor recommended highly.
