If lycra was filled with jelly you would get this hand ice glove. My hand hurts after doing yardwork, mowing doing DIY projects like sanding and I was using a dish cloth with ice but this is so much better. It fits my hand which is medium and my brother tried it on and he has a very large hand and it fit him comfortably but with less wiggly room. Did not take long to get cold and I did not have to worry about holding my hand. Kept it on for five and then off for five, putting it back in the freezer and then did that again for a couple of times. I did not use it for heat therapy but it can do that also. Initially, I put it in the freezer for about an hour and it was still gel like when I used it. Came with a bag to put the glove in when freezing so it won't absorb other smells but it came with its own unique smell that was not pleasant.

The newgo hand ice pack isn't actually an ice pack, it's a glove with flexible jelly like material that gets cold in the fridge or freezer. It works on either hand and comes with a bag to store it in so it doesn't suck up any food smells. Price wise, it's pretty much the same as other options. It also stays cold for around 20 minutes, so you won't have to worry about forgetting the time and accidentally over icing your hand. This thing is pretty big, so this isn't the product for you if you have small hands! Another consideration is the fact that the thumb side of this has a slit. If your injury is on that side of your wrist, don't buy this since that side has basically no ice pack coverage. My injury is on the other side though, so I would buy this again if I needed to replace it!

Soft, bulky, significant weight 13 oz (370g) each. But comfortable, effective and flexible, both warm and cold (instructions indicate that if you leave it in the freezer for over 4 hours, it should be left to warm up some before use, to soften and prevent cracking of the cool core). Core is sewn into a thick polyester stocking that is the glove. Good heat capacity Id say it stays warm or cool for at least 1/2 hour. It would slow down my typing, but I could still type on a keyboard with one of these on. But one concern: it will be loose or tight if you dont have just about exactly the right hand size, which just happens to be my hand size. My paradigmatic hand: wrist: 7 inches (18cm); hand circumference inside of thumb 8.25 inches (21cm); index tip to bracelet line: 8 inches (20cm). The cuff meets at the wrist without doubling up, but if my wrist were 1/4 inch (8mm) larger, there wouldnt be enough velcro to hold the wrist closed. It fits loosely, but doesnt flop; it reaches just to the second knuckles, reaching higher on the pinky. If compression of hand bones would cause you pain, hand circumference above 8.5 (22cm) inches would produce some light pressure, and the weight of the glove would be enough to cause the most delicate some pain, I think. It will not cool the second knuckle joints much, will cool the wrist some. It does a great job, left or right hand. I might get a second, just to have a pair (after all, its not a good candidate for Michael Jackson impersonators, more suited for Muhammad Ali impersonators).
