Ive always had the plastic palettes and these are a lot better and way easier to clean. Super lightweight and compact too.

The asking price of an item definitely factors into a review of an item. Most of the time, the product is so good it doesn't matter what it costs. In the case of these "metal" paint palettes, cost is all I can focus on. They arrived in a box with filler and all that was in perfect condition but the aluminum can material these are made out of caused them to bend in the box. In itself, that is no big deal because I can just bend them back into shape and go about my merry way. I can deal with a cheaply made piece of disposable aluminum that you get dirty then toss in the trash. Not for $10 though. Having scrounged the discount stores looking for crafting deals I know beyond a reasonable doubt that these are not worth more than a couple dollar's. Do yourself a favor and go to your local discount store and get plastic ones for a $1.25. These paint pallets should be bigger and solid and steel for that price, not flimsy sheets that you can crumple up into ball with your bare hands.

So light like a paper plate. Im looking for a heavy one so it doesnt slide when i press the brush into the ink/polish.

Material is great the reason I bought this item because is easy to clean but the most important is durable . Not buying none for a while have to many and they last long
