I can't use a regular fish oil even burpless (I don't like fish so burping fishy oil is disgusting) this is available for a good price great quantity and not a huge pill I know I need the Omega 3/6 for heart / brain health and the dhea too when you don't eat fish this is a good replacement totally recommend happy shopping

Arrived in perfect condition and without damage. There was protective plastic around the lid and also a protective seal around the opening. This was my first time trying "algae based" omega 3. There are 180 capsules included, with a serving size of 1. I think the value is good, considering this is a 6 month supply. The capsules are a dark orange color and do smell quite fishy - as well as taste fishy when you put them in the mouth. I do not mind the fishy taste, so this did not bother me. I did not experience any fishy aftertaste or burps. The texture of the capsules is hard and slightly sticky. I did not experience any side effects taking this. Overall, I like this product and will continue taking it.

I like this supplement as an alternative for vegetarians to get Omegas. There is sometimes a taste to these but overall everything else is good about this supplement and Im glad I found one thats good quality and doesnt have fish in the ingredients.

I eat extremely well and I am in good health. I have been taking the same plant-based Omega-3 for years, but the price got to be ridiculous. I spotted the Freshfield brand and everything about them sounded great, including the environmentally sound packaging. However, they smell awful, like a wet dog that rolled around in a pile of rotting fish. I just held my breath and swallowed them. Well, it's been about a week since I started taking them and while showering this morning I noticed a rash of red blisters across my upper arm. I have no way of knowing that these capsules were the cause of this, but absolutely nothing in my regular food regimen has changed besides taking this supplement, and I've never had anything like this before. After reading the reviews, I did see someone mention breaking out in hives. I am scheduled to see my doctor tomorrow and will update this review if they think it could be related. In addition, if you go to the Freshfield website, the main page features the plant-based Omega-3s, but the capsules they show don't look anything like the ones in the bottle I received. Usually, when a company makes a noticeable change to their product, it will alert the consumer on the label with something to the effect of "new look" or "improved flavor". One more thing, I was previously using Nature's Way plant-based Omega-3 supplements, and due to their high price (upwards of $30 per month supply) there have been times when I could not afford them and went for a period of time without taking them. As soon as I started taking them again, within a couple of doses there was a marked increase in my mental awareness and energy levels. After a week of taking the Freshfield, I feel no difference at all. Note: I noticed the price of the Nature's Way has gone down on ZeeBooth (I'd been buying them through Whole Foods), so I'm going back to them. I go to a naturopathic doctor and the folks at their dispensary told me the Nature's Way brand is a supplement company to be trusted.
