I really like the tool this came with, it's less abrasive than other tongue cleaners and its rubbery material makes it easy to reach harder places. I also think the gel is a great cleaner, I feel how clean my mouth is after using the product. I've noticed when getting a tongue "zit" that it's healed faster after using this product. This kit is great, I'm happy I have it, and I believe the product does a great job at cleaning your mouth. However, I do not like the taste at all. It is minty, but in a way that tastes like it's meant to overpower a sterile flavor. Since the gel is does objectively make my mouth feel cleaner and healthier and I follow up with mouthwash, I will continue to use the product through the bad taste.

This tongue cleaner and oral kit worked okay. I was a little disappointed with how soft the tongue scraper was, the gel taste isnt very pleasant and the instructions to use it are lacking. The scraper is useful, just not as rough as I would like for it to be to clean my tongue so it doesnt motivate me to use it routinely. The price for the kit is reasonable given what you get and the coupon applied at the time of this review. Consistency is key, but results will vary; mine are still yet to conclude. If you are looking for a tongue cleaner kit to add to your routine and dont mind a softer tongue scraper or a bit unpleasant fell, then this may be an option.

I came across the idea of tongue scraping more in Norway, but in the US I feel like tongue hygiene is not pushed as strongly as brushing and flossing. I am endlessly hoping I find a cheap brand of dental flossers that come with that tall ridge that I can use for tongue scraping. Some come close but they are not perfect. This product helps solves all my problems...I just use it without the gel because it really isn't necessary when I am using this in combination with brushing, flossing and mouthwash. I did not realize that you could also use this for under the tongue and the roof of the mouth! Obviously these are areas that can harbor bad breath causing germs so I definitely appreciate having this product. It is still a little weird but I am definitely noticing the difference in my dental care. The only problem is replacing this when it gets old! I never see these in stores so unless it is ordering online, I might not be able to replace this tongue scraper very often. I hope this becomes more widespread so that I can replace it regularly!

When I first saw "Tongueclear", I actually read it as "Tongue Cleaner" so I had expected one of those somewhat abrasive scrappers that you use to clean your tongue. That is not what this is. This is a soft silicone ball at the end of a stick that is used to clean har to reach areas of your mouth, more so on your gumline than your tongue. When I first got it, I read the instructions that came with it which was great because without the instructions, I wouldn't really know how to use it. It states to run it along your gumline between your cheeks and gums, then close your mouth around it like a lollipop to clean the tongue and roof of your mouth. It also states you should buy their gel that did not come with mine at all. I do not have the gel, but did use it while brushing my teeth. The product picture diagrams show drawing of mouths with debris on the roof and gums, then you use this product and the debris is gone. I just brushed so I don't have any debris to remove. I also did not want to use this right after eating because I think food would collect on it easily and I don't think that's the intended use. With that, I'm not sure what it really does. However, I will say that it is very soft and comfortable. There's no pain using this product at all. If you are used to this kind of dental tool, I would say it works very well and is very easy to use.

Overall, I really like the scraper that came with this kit. It actually does a pretty good job cleaning the tongue and other soft parts of the mouth. The gel, on the other hand, is a bit weird tasting, to me. It's a minty-lime sort of flavor. I've used it a couple of times, but don't really find it to have much advantage over just using my regular basic toothpaste. But, perhaps, that's just me... YOU might actually find the gel to be more appealing. Now, with that being said, the entire kit is (at the time of this review) about $28. That seems a bit steep, to me, for what you get. I don't think that I would pay that much for this... particularly given that I won't use the gel. But if you can find the scraper, alone, somewhere, for much cheaper, I would definitely consider picking it up.
