Glitter used for jewels, but easy to remove

The media could not be loaded. I bought this little bubbler as an ornament in my 300 gallon fish tank. Its a cute little addition to my tank and it doesnt seem to frighten my fish (school of silver dollars who are known to be skittish). I buried it partially in the sand so my giant fish wouldnt knock it over, and to make the lid open and close, I just played with the amount of air flow going into the ornament. Very easy to adjust it so works properly. My only complaint, and its a little one, is that the jewels was a bunch of glitter glued onto the platform under the lid. I didnt want to risk my curious tetras consuming any glitter so I just removed it. The ornament was actually fairly simple to take apart, soak in warm water, and scrub off the glitter with a toothbrush. Took a little time but worth it for this cute addition to my tank!

Poor Quality, but works

The media could not be loaded. I love the look of the treasure chest, but it game with a bunch of glitter flakes glued on the inside. I had to scrape all the glitter off to make it safe for my aquarium. Its very light weight so I had to surround it with rocks to make sure it doesnt float. The product works, just make sure you also get an air value to control the flow. Otherwise the top will remain open without closing.

Needs weighted

This thing doesnt work like they always have. It needs to be weighted down, the air makes it raise up from the gravel. The so called gems inside are just some sparkly stuff instead of how the old ones used to be, with the sparkly stuff and 2-3 little plastic gems on the top of inside. Ive thought about getting some aquarium adhesive and gluing my own gems inside. But first I have to figure out how to keep this on the gravel !

I got the jewelry box...embarrassed to say but it took months of me moving it around, loading it down with gravel to get it to open and close automatically, in fact I had given up on it....the secret to getting the chest to open and close is the air pressure it receives...I had to tie my tubing with a rubber band to get the pressure just right and now it works perfectly

Exactly what I was wanting for my tank!

The media could not be loaded. I've been trying to find something like this at a local pet store without any luck. I found this one on ZeeBooth and it was easy to install. As the other reviewers have indicated, you need to remove the shipping clip from the back to get good action from it. You'll definitely need a regulator valve for your aeration pump if you don't have one already, as full blast is just too much to get good action.
