The dog, a golden, likes it and I like it. Easy to clean is the biggie. My pup usually dislikes to be brushed very much, she hates it really. But she likes this thing, it doesn't bother her and gets the hair. The back side of the brush gets the hair off your cloths after you brush the pup too. Very handy brush/tool.

Interesting results between two dogs, would recommend

I have two large (barely) dogs. Zelda is a short to medium length continual shedder Dutch/Mal/Lab mix, who is 2.5yo. Trapper is a 6yo Foxhound/Catahoula seasonal shedder, short length. This brush works on both "TECHNICALLY", but Zelda's hair is more attracted to the brush. Where Trapper's hair will stay on the surface of the coat to be blown off, or shaken off. The nibs are PERFECTLY textured and hardened. It's not overly gripping the hair thus pulling it, which I feel like the "KONG" brand does. Makes applying medicine to the skin since trapper has more sensitive skin than Zelda and dries out more, he doesn't like drinking water, and I've tried everything to encourage drinking. So his skin stays slightly dryer than his sister's. I like the idea of pealing off the green layer to get Zelda's hair off between the bristles. Works 100%, a little annoying to re-apply. SIMPLE AS ALL HECK TO CLEAN, quick to dry, great brush for MEDIUM HAIR, okay brush for short hair, and I don't think this is good for LONG HAIR. This is like the PERFECT medium hair brush you can buy. Especially for continual shedders. Super happy wit this purchase. Will also be great for bath time and getting the moisture and medical shampoo to Trapper's skin. Also both dogs seemed to enjoy it, they don't love the Furminator, even though that does work, or wire brushes.

Best product of its type .

This brush is AMAZING ! I have bought all kinds of brushes, desheders , rake things, razor looking crap and either the dog didnt like them or they didnt remove much hair or they were a pain to clean out but this thing works great, the dogs love it and cleanup is simple and efficient. If you dont buy this brush first,you will feel stupid for not buying it first

Pretty good

My cats and dogs love this brush. If they were writing the review it would be 5 stars. It's soft enough to use on their legs and boney areas, and even their faces and tails. However, it doesn't seem to keep the fur in the bristles. I always end up with very staticky pet fur sticking everywhere but the brush. I would recommend misting your pets fur to cut down on the flying fur.

Removed Piles of Fur

My husband brought home a puppy and I can't tell you how frustrated I was. I was constantly picking up strands of fur, something I never had to do with our other dog who was supposedly hypoallergenic. As the puppy aged his fur kept getting longer and longer. Since this puppy is stuck like glue to my husband, I felt it was his responsibility to keep him brushed. He brushes the puppy nearly every day, but it never seems to help. He was using a small brush with plastic rather than wire bristles. Tons of fur came out, but as soon as he got close to anything, fur would cover it. A friend of my husband mentioned he wanted one of the silicone brushes where the fur can be cleaned off the bristles for his long-haired cat. I went home and told my husband that since he hadn't used the massage brush, we could give it to him. As soon as someone else wanted the brush my husband thought maybe there was something to this thing. The next evening he was sitting on the floor brushing the puppy. He had piles and piles of fur where the other brush only removed a little. This brush also is gentle on your dog's skin/body. It won't dig in like other brushes. Our puppy seems to really enjoy being brushed, and I'm happier that more fur is coming off him. He still sheds on everything, but if you could see how much fur comes off him, you'd be amazed. This massager/brush is amazing. I don't understand the low ratings, but maybe they just don't have the type of dog it works well on. It's TOP DOG in our book.
