First of all the design is dated. The charging port is a USB 1.0 connector but who cares? The display is very limited giving no indication of which song is playing on the SD drive. However, the sound is terrific! It has plenty of bass and very good definition and volume range. Saving favorite stations is weird - it just scrolls through and saves all the stations it can tune and stores them sequentially so you just have to remember the number assigned to your favorites. You can't edit the list. However, the sound is terrific! And the reception is very good. Yes, you have to lean it against something to keep it from falling over but BIG WOOP - the sound is great. Reception is very good and battery life also, so far. Sleep timer works well. I've had no trouble with the antenna breaking - just take reasonable care. No it won't stand up with the antenna extended but, come on, lean it against something. What a bargain!

I will say that this is about the handiest mp3 player gadget ever! My search for a USB drive media player turned up this little gem. First of all, the sound and volume is larger than you would expect in something this size. I found that alone surprisingly impressive for the price. Having to the advantage of a physical volume knob is a handy and an unexpected treat for quick volume adjustments and with no button pressing fiddle. The media player is quite nice. I like that it remembers where you left off which is great if you have longer mp3s to listen to. Handy to have a thumb drive access port which worked great as well. But real nice to put in a micro card and go with the hundreds of files. When you plug in an external USB drive it nicely takes priority. And when removed when an actual micro disk is in the unit, picks up right where you left off. Thats impressive. Navigation is a breeze. Sleep timer? Yes indeed! Battery life too is better than expected. Just make sure to follow the instructions on first time charging. This gave me plenty of time running on a charge (I havent yet run it down that far; no good reason) and it tops off nicely in under an hour. Liked it enough to buy me two (the red is very cute) and one as a gift for a party this weekend. Youll enjoy this device if you like to listen to music and like to conveniently play your custom mp3 files. And for under 25 bucks? No way! Impressive! MC
