I like these puzzles, and they tend to be cool. If hard, I still feel like the reasoning is sound even if I'm kicking myself for missing the logic. This one wasn't "hard" it was "arbitrary". PS: the box art looks cute. "A toy factory"! Not a spoiler, it tells you right at the beginning: It's actually a horror story, and the mystery is to find a way to destroy the toys. There's a difference. Riddle puzzles should be solvable, with a logical reasoning for the conclusion, even if that reasoning might be missed. For the first puzzle I solved, I was really pleased with myself. It was "hard", but I figured it out, and it made total sense. (And then, from there, I found what 3 of the additional answers must be from the image, though I hadn't solved those puzzles yet.) In this puzzle, some of the riddles are literally impossible. With minimal spoilers: * One riddle requires seeing a "difference" that is only different if you exclude some of the examples. I can construct "logic" for excluding those, but the reasoning is really arbitrary, and there are other possibilities of "differences" that are equally valid logically. * One riddle requires noting the components and using other information to find the result. The reasoning again is impossible. Some information has to be used multiple times, but there is no reason why the other information doesn't have to be used multiple times. So, the logic is inconsistent and nonsensical. It works because the author/artist knew the answer, so they followed rules that got the result they wanted without realizing that they weren't following their own rules. * Another riddle involves constructing numbers from a common pattern system. However, some information is missing. We're supposed to abstract the missing information, which is fine for a riddle. However, there's no pattern to resolving the abstraction, and the visual cues are misleading. The only way to solve it is to use trial and error and hope you're on the right track. * Two of the riddles depended on information that was printed very close, or into, the crack of the pieces. With that information literally being cut away, it's hard to solve the riddle. * I'm convinced there's an actual error in one of the riddles. The logic is fine and works fine by their solution. However, they aren't explicit about how they are counting. The only counting mechanism I found for that riddle doesn't work for the last value. I think they got a brain cramp or otherwise messed up the art there. So, this one wasn't really very good for me. I liked the puzzle, though it was a bit difficult. I was pleased with the difficulty of the first riddle I solved. I was a little disappointed that for a "hard" difficulty, 3 more solutions were easily discoverable from looking at the art and not solving those riddles. Of the riddles themselves, I think 4 are appropriate for the difficulty level, even though I struggled with a couple. The errors and ridiculous logic for the other two go beyond "very hard" and into unfair for such a game.

I've done most of these Ravensburger escape puzzles, and I generally love them. I have fun with the jigsaw puzzle part, figuring out the logic puzzles, and then seeing the clever solution image. I recently bought three of the 368 piece escape puzzles, and I found the jigsaw puzzles too easy and the two 5-star difficulty puzzles too hard. I would recommend avoiding the 5-star difficulty puzzles. I was able to solve 5/6 puzzles in Desolated City (4 star difficult), 12/16 in Greenhouse (5 stars), but only 2/6 in this Toy Story (5 stars). This puzzle was the worst of the bunch because the puzzles are just too hard. This was the last of the three I did and I still couldn't get it, despite the experience with the other two. I consider myself a smart person but was hurting my head trying to figure out most of these puzzles, and that just isn't an enjoyable experience. After seeing the solutions of the animals, radio and truck puzzles, I am certain they are impossible to solve. What's the fun of that? Don't buy this one.

Cool scene and nice puzzle but the actual "escape room" inside of it is a joke

As mentioned by others, the 6 "riddles" were both hard to locate within the puzzle and hard to solve (even for math-proficient adults). Add to that the creepy, evil toys that might give sensitive kids nightmares. Not such a fun toy factory. At least this one was easy to put together (others have been too darkly colored). If you want a 368 Escape that's easier and enjoyable, try the Wizard School, Museum, or even the Greenhouse. This one went into the donate pile.
