It is not very heavy duty so I don't recommend for large dogs. It is definitely worth it for small dogs.

it is not for a bigger dog. It is very flimsy. My dog would break it before getting to the sidewalk from my front door. Id say its good for a toy size dog or possibly a miniature sized dog only.

I was actually pretty excited when I found this as there are many times I'm trying to carry a can/bottle down the street to our neighbors to drink during our doggy playdate. It's a nice concept but needs some work. First off, the cup part is not that comfortable to hold. The outside is only lightly padded and not in a way to make it cozy to grab like a normal koozie (with or without the handle). The handle is designed for someone with very large hands and might as well not be there because it doesn't even touch my hand when I am carrying it. The retractable leash part is a nice feature as you are sitting somewhere because you can keep your dog tied to the glass you are holding instead of having to secure them elsewhere. It does not quite function like traditional retractable leashes and while you can lock the length, it is a bit hard to lock it being built into the bottom of the cup with a stiff switch. I think we will still end up using it, especially at picnics and other outdoor events where our dog is mostly going to be tucked under a table. I probably wouldn't recommend this for walking your dog down the street unless you have a small dog that is very well-mannered.

This is a fun way to walk our dog. I wouldnt use an open container, but I prefer a water bottle.

This is a leash and a bit of a novelty. It is a flat leash that easily pulls out and retracts. As you can see, it almost looks like a coffee cup rather than a leash. I didn't realize when I ordered this that it also doubles as a can koozie - surprise! That will be a fun addition when we're out for walk in the heat. Added bonus, they include a can opener (which made me chuckle). I dropped one star because: 1) The handles is pliable, not stiff. this means that it moves while you're holding it. That may be a good thing for comfort if you're just out for a walk and using this as a leash, but if you intend to use it as a koozie also, it'll be harder to keep stable. 2) the "lock" for the leash is a slide button on the bottom. Again, if you're just using it as a leash, that may be fine but if you had a can in it, you'd have to remove the can to lock/unlock the leash or it would spill upside down.
