These are some cute and relaxing designs. The pin up model threw me off guard at first too haha. Aside from that, they are simply functional pens.

This is a really unique set of retro style pens. The set of five pens includes four that have various forms of confetti floating in a liquid base along with a miniature plastic toy. The last pen, which is the coolest pen shows a woman standing wearing a black swimsuit. When you flip the pen over her swimsuit desappears. Granted there is not significant detail due to the small size of the image. These pens are a novelty item, they are made simply for fun. As for the quality of the ink in the pens, the ink is actually quite exceptional. They write very smoothly in black ink and the ink does not skip or smear. My reason for giving this set four stars instead of five is simply because several of the pens have too much confetti in them and when you move the pens around they hardly do anything. Personally I feel this set would have been better if it included more of the women bathing suit style pens. At the time of this review the Sikyby retro novelty pen set was selling for $19.99 which is not a bad price for five quality pens!

Kitschy item, nothing super classy here, this is a kids item like elementary school. It's a weird mix with jellyfish and a pinup girl. But okay, why not? Pens write fine, as durable as any basic ballpoint pen.

These pens are great if you're looking for that nostalgic 80s/90s pen. They're very well made and feel durable, and won't fall apart easily if they're tossed into a bag. The lady with the dress has the perfect effect, and the rest of the pens feel nice and full of objects. I do wish they had a few more different types though, rather than 4 pens that are very similar. They write well, and I like how you can detract the pen tip by turning the end.

When I was a kid, every time we went on vacation and visited gift shops, we saw the local version of these pens: plastic ballpoint pens with a clear gel in the barrel, with a tiny version of whatever was locally known, like sand and miniature shells from the beach, or little plastic stars for a conservatory. These updated pens are a little more substantial than the originals, with a wider girth than I remember. Of course this means you can fit more things in the barrel, like a speedboat and a kraken. The ballpoint refills work fine and have a nice ink flow. The themes are more original than the standard sand and seashells. But ultimately they still feel cheaply built and light in hand. For the current retail price, I do not think they are worth it. I have no desire to use these as writing utensils. I could see them being split up and matched with similarly themed notebooks for a fun gift.
