This Aimondow pet self-cleaning slicker brush looks cute and my 4 cats seem to like to be brushed with it. It is easy to hold but I do not think that it is very good at removing hair. It only tackles the downy undercoat and very little of it. It is super easy easy to clean though and unlike other reviewers, I had no problems with bent needles. I am always extra careful with brushes because I do not want to scratch my cats. Brushing should be pleasurable for them. Thanks for reading my review & I hope that it is helpful

On the first stroke of brushing the brush pins/tines bent in all sorts of directions. I used it on my beagle and my husky, which both are easy brushing (not brushing the husky's undercoat) and it does the job but I am concerned about how long it will work with so many bent pins/tines. It does easily push the hair off the brush, with ease. I give it three stars because on the first use it bent thus questioning its durability, if it wasn't for that I would give it five stars.

One of the better ones that Ive found, and heres why.every other self cleaning brush weve tried doesnt push all the way down to clean, so Im still having to use my fingers to rake out the last remains of hair, and slicker brushes can hurt . With this brush, the plate slides down all of the way past the bristles making it a clean sweep to remove hairI can hold it over the trash can and not even have to touch it to get rid of the accumulated hair. That and that fact that my cat (who has the attention span of an ant ) will sit there and be brushed for as long as Im willing to brush him, is a huge bonus.

This brush's best feature is that it is a cinch to clean. I just brush my cats, then retracted the bristles with the button. The hair remains on top and can be slid off. It is a cinch to use. Unfortunately, there are two negatives. The main issue is that the tines bend immediately as the wire is not strong. The second issue is that the bristles on brushes like these, including this one, do not grab the hair like my wire brushes do. This means it does not pull off as much hair as the stationary brushes. Note that this is for long-haired pets only; I would not use this with a pet with short hair. The current price of $12.34 ($12.99 minus 5%) is competitively priced; however, I am not pleased that the wire bristles misshapen so easily.
