The waterproof dog blanket does provide protection for your couch from scratches, spills and accidents. It is functional, not pretty. My dogs seem to like sitting on it and when one of them bumped me when jumping off the couch, my spilled coffee did not soak through. The only challenge is that it does not attach to the couch in any way. You just tuck it in. Which means you are constantly adjusting it. I appreciate the size, as it is long enough to cover the seats of our reclining leather couch. I have opted not to cover the back of the couch as it just will not stay put. So I have positioned ours to cover just the seats. If you are just looking for a protective blanket, this fits the bill. I would recommend.

I've been testing this on our love seat for the last week. In the summertime especially, a blanket like this one is preferable to the blankets we usually throw over the love seat and sofa. If you're planning to use this as a sofa cover, the one thing to ask is "will this be comfortable for ME to recline on too?" I'm happy to say that it is. The material is surprisingly soft and smooth. There was no chemical odor when taken out of the bag, but I did wash it anyway and had no issues with shrinkage. Most importantly, the dog likes it. AND it helps keep the sofa clean. The only negative is that I wish the corners were weighted to help keep the blanket in place. We tuck in the top edge between the sofa and the wall, but when the dog jumps up onto the sofa, his back paws sometimes catch on the edge of the blanket and it will fold over.

We have a large dog that's over 100 pounds who is not technically allowed on the furniture but for one reason or another she always chooses to get on this one couch. She just wants to get up there and lay down but we don't want the cushions to be dirty and smelling like dog. so this is the best cover that we have used as it is large enough to cover the entire base of the couch and it is thick enough that when she wrestles around or digs out it it does not move or tear. She does not seem to mind laying on it so the texture feels as good as the couch it seems. Great value low cost for protecting furniture and keeping peace with your pets.

I Love this blanket! I will allow my dog on the couch if i have this blanket put down. I really love the fact that it is waterproof. It is extremely easy to clean and wash. Its not too thick, so its super simple to tuck into the folds of the couch. I feel like its a good value for the money especially for the size, waterproofing, and all of the features. I highly recommend this product.
