Put together one of these before KNOWING this would not be worth the trouble assembling. As others mentioned and showed with pictures, the laser cut is uneven on most pieces and requires a fair bit of sanding to get most to fit. And even then, the dials are SO STIFF when put together because there is very little tolerance between parts. Its unusable and worthless

These look great but fall short on ease of use. The dials turn alright but not smooth. These don't hold the monster cards tight so the fall out easily while turning the dial.

These are really good quality and like that they're wood, not plastic. Assembly was super easy. Just one complaint. Why not use the warm color (amber) for elites and the cool color (gray) for the normals to more closely match the colors from the game?

I bought these for Frosthaven and Gloomhaven. I am the kind of player that has been tracking damage at the base of each monster rather than on the cards and have them get bumped around, so this seemed good since I was looking there for the information already, and a good way to declutter. The good parts: This definitely creates significantly less clutter, unless you are tossing many many debuffs around, since each base only fits two. The wood bases look very nice once assembled, and go well with some wooden player dashboards I had bought from a different seller. Good color, but more on this later. They were very straight forward to assemble, and there were a few spare pieces just in case. No glue needed! The bad: There are a few things I highlighted in my photos, but essentially, the laser cut CAD files are slightly off, and some of the bases are not straight, so some of these pieces chipped/cracked while I was removing them, even with being extra careful. These bases are exactly the size of the hex space, but I wished they had been a little smaller to make it easier to move them around the board. I might take 1/32nd" off each edge, but that will probably be more work than it's worth, and would ruin the finish of the edges. Because of the above, many pieces had a little notch or nib that needed to be sanded off, which isn't normally that big of a deal, and the kit comes with sand paper to do this. However, there are 6 pieces per base, which is over 100 pieces to sand. Because of the above, if you sand too much the pins won't fit and you will need glue, which again isn't a huge deal, but thats a few careful drops of glue for each base. Since this is a small time project/company, the imperfections made some of these bases less than ideal. The standee piece no longer sticks into it's base, so if you are used to picking creatures up by their "head" it will just come off the base instead. This can be modified, so mine will be useable, but an unfortunate flaw in this design. The colors are a little bit too close to each other (more yellowish), and I don't feel the "elite" or lighter colored base is different enough. I am going to give them each a very light wash of watercolor paint to hopefully make them pop more. After these few modifications these will be great, but I suppose having them be great right out of the box would have been preferred.

Was easy to assemble. Make sure you use sandpaper on the tabs of the inner circle that turns. (Tabs are where they are attached together before you punch it out.) No need to sandpaper every tab. They are snug, no glue needed. They turn pretty easy since I sandpaper. These will help my game.
