Star Wars Attack of The Clones Figure: Tusken Raider (Female with Child)...

This is an awesome figure! It's certainly different from the Tusken raiders we're normally used to seeing. Looks-wise, the female is awesome. Detail is great, especially the decoration around the chest and face. As for articulation, for obvious reasons, the figure is restricted in this area. You can move both of her arms though(from the elbow points), her waist(although the figure is actually is basically composed of two parts- her legs/upper body, and her face, arms and carrying pouch), and her feet. The child is a really good idea for an accessory. Additional points must be given for the child's articulated arms. The child can fit into the female's back pouch. She also comes with a gaffi stick that she can hold.

Despite not having a wonderful Tusken "catch phrase" that doesn't rip-off something else (more than meets the eye came to mind, but I digress) I can't say enough how much I like this figure. The packaging pretty well sells itself, but some of the extras about this wonderful figure simply blew my mind. Now, I know that some people, for some odd reason, don't see the Raider as a crucial figure, but the bonuses are worth checking out at least. Here's some of the best stuff: 1)The detail. The Tusken Raider's ornamentation is superbly done, with everything from the coloration to the design looking wonderful. Its apparent that some thought went into this figure, and I'm happy to see that because the Raiders have always been a favorite of mine. 2)When I saw it and noticed that the Raider came with one of its young, I was impressed enough to snatch it up with a smile. This is easily noticed while still in the package, but what isn't noticeable is that the Raider child is actually semi-articulate. That's right, its little Tusken arms will move up and down, giving it some poseability. Now, I know this isn't a monstrous range of motion, but its amazing that the little one does anything at all. 3) The Raider goes beyond its base range of motion and actually swivels at the waist. This helps with the positioning of the little one, and helps add to the little wonders added into the figure. As a note, the figure comes with its weapon rubberbanded into its hand. Take it out and beware! It might not love you anymore. Still, this is a technicality, really, when you look at the overall product. Its a really need to have!!

No other shipping container in history has proven to be less effective against damage than the padded envelope! This single cost savings measure has cost millions in needless returns and sent more collectors to an early grave than any other form of mutilation. Mint products go in and what winds up on your doorstep is anyones guess! The grand and Nobel fight to save cardboard is on! And This particular retailer leads the charge! When other retailers package collectible shipments in protective boxes, this one chooses the padded envelope whenever the contents matter. You can plead, beg, protest or return damaged products but nothing will change the giant robotic assembly mill to favor the buyer. Purchase a pair of underwear, it comes in a box. But buy a collectible item and the dread padded envelope will be yours. I love the product but it was purchased in mint condition. Too bad it didnt arrive that way. And most importantly, too bad nobody cares.
