Tends to slide off easily

I was excited to try these finger splints because I don't have to tape them in place which just makes them easier to use. They do provide good support with the hard bottom piece and they are padded very well. I did not feel any poking or pain anywhere. They have 3 adjustable velcro straps to keep them in place. I like that you can take it off to wash your hands and not worry about getting tape wet or having to re-tape it on. I had two problems with these splints. One was they are a bit difficult to put on yourself as they slide around alot and you have to hold them in place while pulling the Velcro tabs and you only have one hand to do that. It works fine if you have an extra set of hands to help. The other problem I had was it tends to slid up towards the end of your finger and could slide off. The splint itself is made to extend past your finger into the hand and when you use your hand it pushes the splint forward. You have to put the straps on so tight to prevent this that it is painful. So it does work and it is convenient, just not the best design. It would work better if there was a strap at the proximal end that wrapped around your entire hand.
