I got these for work to take notes in. They came packaged so nicely. Theyre perfect to keep stuffed in my computer bags and desk drawers.

I like the spiral binding

Im old-school when it comes to note-taking. Id rather jot things down than fiddle and fumble about on some minature keypador for that matter, my Macs full-scale keyboard. I have all the modern devicesphone, tablet, desktop computer. I do text, a lotand in fact, earn my living mostly sitting at a desk stringing together words. But I still prefer the quick, easy, no-fuss medium of pen (or pencil) on paper. I don't use notebooks for calendars or reminders, but more like a catch-all journal or diary, what is probably best described as a daybook. A notebook works anywhere under any conditions. It's unobtrusive. It doesnt demand immediate action, or else will petulantly shut itself down and demand a restart. I can scribble something down with barely a glance while looking and paying attention elsewhere. The downside is Im picky about my writing material. I dont like the slick, thin pages of most small notebooks found in typical big-box stores. I want paper that feels good under my pen, paper with a slight tooth to its surface finish. Given the abysmal quality of my cursive handwriting, I know this is silly. But its still true. Unfortunately, such tablets regularly come at a premium price. The good news is these top-quality spiral notebooks with their kraft-brown covers are perfect! Perfect size, perfect paper, super great price! An all-around bargain and Im absolutely delighted.

I use a LOT of notebooks. There's just something so much more satisfying when you write it than if you type it. But one reason I use so many notebooks is because they fall apart. The spiral comes un-spiraled, the cover tears, and/or the papers are only half attached. These guys put an end to all that. The paper is of good, heavy, quality stock. And it tears out of the notebook without leaving a strip behind or a bunch of loose bits of paper. But the best part is the pages don't get worn no matter how many times they get turned. The covers are a lot thicker than regular notebooks, so they, too, are able to withstand a lot of use without showing any damage. And I love that they're COMPLETELY blank. No manufacturer or brand name, or anything else printed anywhere, front or back, inside or out. They're also smooth enough that you can use any type of pen to decorate or write on them if you so desire. And colors show on them nicely. The spirals so far are awesome. The ends don't come un-spiraled to where an end sticks out to poke you, and they don't flatten to where you have an extremely hard time turning pages. They're perfect! The only negative I have is the size might be okay for the intent, but I think maybe a size in-between these and a regular 8 1/2 x 11 notebook would be better. And finally, I do think they're a bit pricey, although the more units you buy in an order, the cheaper the cost per notebook. But all in all, I think they're worth it. Only do yourself a favor and order the largest quantity available. I only got the five pack because I wanted to try them out before ordering more than I might end up actually wanting. But instead, I do believe they've turned me into a life-long customer.
