For the price its good but it definitely runs and ruins the page your pencil drawing artist as a under layer mechanical refill for the price is great but for drawing you should look for one that doesnt make the lead dust that we all hate even with a drawing glove helps a little bit but keep these for writing. Now price wise amazing

Fun to write with

This lead is super soft and breaks constantly. It is obnoxious to use for writing or note taking.

Normally, I absolutely love Mitsubishi Uni products. Everything from their older draft pencils to their Signo gel pens to their Uni Hi Pencil line, I've tried and continue to have the artistic and journaling time of my life with them at my fingertips. However, I draw the line at the specifically "Red" Nanodia leads. I tried the Blue Nanodia leads and they're in a special separate world with the rest of Uni products. The red ones? Not so much. Whatever they manufacture them with to get the "red" color in them makes them an absolute hassle to work with when writing or drawing. They're rough against the same smooth paper that I used the blue ones on, all while putting down such a light color mark that it is hard to tell if the color is red at all. Even after pressing down harder, it can't get adequate color on the page. If you are looking for red colored lead, look elsewhere. If you are looking for blue colored lead, by all means, go for the Blue Nanodia lead! That one is an absolute marvel to work with, unlike this hue.
