Good quality. Well made. Perfect size to carry around or leave in the car for those times when you only have a short time to do a sketch. I like the smooth cream color paper. It works best with pen or pencil. Colored pencil does not show up the colors very well. Watercolor, without too much water is O.K. However, the paper will buckle. Overall, a very good sketchbook.

The compass rose on the cover is beautiful. The price is very reasonable compared to other brands. The tn is good quality and well made. The inserts are great as well and I ordered two more packs to have on hand. I will probably buy a regular size from them in the future!

I got this so I can take notes at work and draw if I need to. Being able to have the different types of paper is nice, and I like the leather. No smell, great color and very sturdy!

Fits comfortably in almost every size of pocket. Ive been drenched in rain and this keeps my notes pretty safe. tough and durable, made of real thick leather and adds a stylish touch. Fits quite a few refills without needing to remove old ones. Would recommend

TL;DR: Chose Wanderings Journal over Midori Traveler's Notebook because of price. Would recommend. Very sturdy and easily refillable. Visually and physically pleasing. This leather journal comes loaded with three easily-replaceable cardboard covered notebooks and is bound together by an ingenuitive use of elastic cord. When one slips the leather tab that is strung through the cord around the journal it stays snug and does not move around with incidental contact. This tab keeps the journal firmly closed but it does not crease or bend the notebooks inside. The leather is pretty and feels very nice in the hand. Like a nice belt or wallet, the leather quickly accrues signs of wear and I have found this process to be pleasing. The edges of the journal have not been finished and this has two immediate consequences: the cover stays supple and easy to manipulate, and there may be some fraying on your brand new journal. In my experience, this slight fraying has simply worn off without damaging the cover. The only distinguishing mark of the brand, a compass rose, is on the front cover. This mark is stamped, but smartly executed and not very large. You may not notice it at first glance. The stock notebooks inside the journal are a bit bigger than a sheet of letter paper (about A4) held in landscape and creased into thirds.So, held open, the writing surface is about an inch bigger than 2/3 the size of a piece of printer paper. This makes the journal too big to fit into a pocket, but easy enough to fit into any bag, and it feels very natural in an adult hand. The paper holds inks from fountain pens, highlighters, and rapidograph pens very well and I have not experienced any bleed. Some pens and pencils with very small points cause some depression on subsequent pages, but common writing instruments like mechanical pencils and gel pens do not seem to have much affect on the paper below. The elastic cord binding system seems to be fairly rugged. Stress points are strengthened with metal cylinders (I do not know what they are made of--I believe it's brass but I could be wrong). When opened and layed flat on the table, the elastic binding and leather tab need to be squashed by hand a bit to make a level writing surface across two pages. This is my only gripe with the journal, but not nearly enough of a gripe for me to deduct a star in my review. Overall the journal is very well constructed and I am very happy with my purchase.
