Sturdy weed puller

The handle is a bit short so you have to bend over or kneel down to reach weeds, but this puller is very sturdy and well made. I was able to pull up some thorny nettle weeds without being poked, and the roots came up with the plant so I can ensure they won't grow back without using harmful herbicides. I do think this is worth it, but anyone who struggles to bend over or kneel may want a longer-handled option.

Quite happy with the build and quality

for a single hand use weeder this thing is pretty well built as far as I am concerned. Reasonably sharp and solid construction. I am dealing with many weeds right now as I am reseeding so I was unable to do any chemical weed protection for fear of inhibiting the new grass so this is helping with the manual intervention. I read some reviews where people said they bent the handle and all I can say is they either received a poor unit or were really cranking down on very hard ground or very thick sturdy roots. For the price I am quite happy and may order one of the other models from this company as well.

Much better than hand pulling!

This weeder is great. My driveway is gravel, so I get a lot of weeds there. This puller gets to the root and makes pulling them out easy, and the results are so much better than pulling by hand because I'm able to get to the root VS just breaking off the top plant.

Disappointing Performance on Stubborn Weeds

I was initially impressed with the Weed Puller. The tool felt nice in my hands, and its light weight gave me hope that it would be easy to use. It seemed well-built at first glance. However, my optimism faded when I put it to the test. During its first use, the tool's head couldn't handle the torque required to uproot a particularly stubborn weed. It bent under the pressure, which was quite disappointing for a tool specifically designed for weed removal. Although I might be able to bend it back into shape, the fact that it failed during a fundamental task is concerning. For smaller weeds, the tool does perform adequately. However, a standard hand rake could accomplish the same job, if not better. I expected more durability and efficiency from this tool.

I love this thing!

We just purchased our home last year, so I've been spending a lot of time out in the yard this spring. You can tell the yard wasn't the best cared for the last few years, though you can also see that it was well loved, with a great variety of beautiful plants. However, the yard also looks unkempt. With this comes a lot of weeds. I got this to help make the job easier. It is very easy to use. Just push the prongs into the dirt at the base of the plant, and pull. For some with bigger root systems, you can also push down on the handle to loosen the plant up before you try to pull it out. I did notice that after using this several times that the weeder has bent a little bit in the shaft of the product, which I'm sure is from me wedging the roots out. The bend is very small. Also, the handle wants to screw off the weeder as I use it. A little glue around the base of the handle prevents this from happening though. I find that using a combination of pulling weeds by hand and using the tool is best. The only other thing I would change is make the handle much longer. Though, that's not how this product was made, and it is not a drawback, only personal preference. This product works exactly as it should, and it was a great purchase.
