I'm loving these for doing the dishes. Just remember to boil in salt water for about 20 minutes before using for the first time to get these nice and soft.

These natural loofah dish sponges arrived in a neat little package. I received 7 sponges instead of 6, though. The sponges are flat and will stay that way until you wet them. I dropped one in water and it took less than 5 minutes to expand. I left it in the water to see if it would expand more, but it didnt. I like the size and the shape of these sponges and the fact that they will remain compact until I am ready to use them . I used to really have thing for those green nylon scrubbie pads . I became aware though that they part of the plastic problem . The nylon was constantly shedding and pieces of them were going down the drain and into the ocean and probably coming back to me in my food . Loofahs , grown naturally and absolutely harmless and benign , are a wonderful alternative. I have used loofah dish sponges before, only not this brand. Loofahs make excellent dish sponges that can last a long time. When you are done with them they can be composted . I will tell you how I make a sponge last a very long time : I buy 3% peroxide by the gallon at Smart N Final . I keep an old mug next to the sink filled with peroxide , and store my sponge in it . As long as I change the peroxide regularly the sponge stays sweet . These loofah sponges are very nicely priced , currently $6.50 for 6 .

Great for pots, pans and any other dishwares. Long lasting with mild scrub capabilities.
