I like it. Durable, colorful, easy to use

This pocket chart comes with sheets of cards to display from a variety of word families. The cards are made from a thicker cardstock but some ripped when taking them apart. The cards are nicely printed and with nice pictures, which is great for early learners, but this makes it a bit too easy for kids that are working on solidifying their CVC word reading skills. A feature of this pocket chart is the double-sided nature of each card, a design choice that minimizes storage space. Each family card and its associated word cards have the same sets front/back, so you cant mistakenly try to pair two front/back families. It just limits the potential combinations you can display. The pocket chart itself is hangs effortlessly from the two metal grommets, ensuring durability and ease of display, but the pockets could be a bit deeper to prevent the cards from falling out. The plastic pockets also have questionable stitching, making me wonder how long they will last with consistent usage. Word Families Pocket Chart is a helpful literacy tool for young learners and is a nice addition to our homeschool classroom.

The hanging pocket chart is a versatile and high quality learning tool for both home and school. I use it with my visual learner at home to help expand vocabulary and increase communication. I go beyond the included word cards, and also use other (horizontal) flashcards I have of sight words. I expect to expand its usage to sentence building, visual schedules, etc. in the future. The nylon material of the chart seems very durable, which I expect will last long for a variety of applications over the time. The cards are also durable with good print quality. Great selection of word families, example words and illustration pictures for effective learning! I've wished this hanging pocket chart would come with a storage bag for all the word family/word cards, and hanging hooks to complete the package. However, lack of these nice extras doesn't affect its usage (since alternatives are easy to find), so no star deducted.

Th e pocket chart is pretty basic, it will seem to do the job just fine. The cards are nicely printed and look great! There seems to be a type of laminated layer over that didnt seem to get cut all the way, so there was some uneven tearing- it can easily be fixed with scissors though.

El material se siente fuerte y de buena calidad. til para trabajar con nios pequeos en etapa de alfabetizacin.
