I have used monitor mount adapters for my cameras, not for monitor, but for left-hand handle. I only used the 1/4' hole, so the cold shoe mount is not needed. Now, this 1/4" screw head camera mount is exactly what I need. I add a mount base with 1/4" screw hole and it now is a handle mount adapter. After adding a mini handle, I bent it to 90 degrees, so the handle points to the front. To make it better, I added a second mini handle pointing to a different direction for better hand grip. I have used these dual left handles for some times, and recently, I found that I can use them to help hang my camera on my chest without a camera strap on the camera. I put the two ends of a camera strap together to form a loop and wear it between my head and left shoulder. As the left-hand handle is shaped like a large hook, I just insert it into the strap loop. The L-shaped handle has a neck, so it holds the strap securely. Now I can carry my camera with me, without using a strap on it. It is very convenient!

This incredibly made adapter screw is great for GoPro and other items. I am using this to setup an additional light source. This aluminum adapter is very well made. The top part contains an anti-slip anti-scratch pad to prevent marring your camera or accessories. This adapter screw should last a long time. I am very happy to add this to my adapter bag for my cameras. I'm not sure why there was a question on Suction power. This fits by a bolt and screw. I left this question blank since it does not apply to this item specifically.

Couldn't ask for better. Works great on the gopro mounts I have and connects perfect just as described. Such a great experience getting this.

The lightweight selfie stick is optimized for use with action cameras that commonly use the spline type of accessory mount. The kit does come with a plastic 1/4" threaded adaptor that allows you to mount typical camera and phone products. This selfie stick uses a non-extendable, flexible wand for the stick. It's shorter than typical selfie sticks but the design allows you to bend, shape and wrap the wand around other fixed objects. This enables you to use it as a fixed base - like a tripod. The spline type of mount is great for one (1) axis adjustment. For use as a selfie stick you can adjust the angle of the camera (and mount) so the screen points back at you. Then lock it in position and youre good to go. But for use as a fixed base, the phone is not focused only on you its pointing at a subject (i.e. plant, person, building or something in the distance) so you may need to adjust the angle and rotation of the phone so that its pointing in the right direction. So, this adaptor has to attach to my accessory (the phone holder) and allow it to turn left and right. What I like: The new adaptor is made of aluminum which is strong and light The locking thumb wheel is attached to the bottom of the 1/4" screw and the two are separated by a small rigid frame. The screw actually extends through a hole in the frame putting my phone holder on the top surface and the locking thumb wheel underneath on the bottom. This design allows me to tighten and loosen the connection but spaces the thumb wheel away from the base of the phone holder. The thumb wheel is more exposed and wider which provides a better grip and more leverage making it easier to use and control. In use: The new adaptor threads on to my phone adaptor very smoothly. The large diameter thumb wheel and precision 1/4" threaded stud, screw into the socket on my phone holder with very little effort. The locking ring is wide and easy to reach. It tightens very snuggly and keeps things right where I want them. But, if I do need to rotate the phone, I can back off on the tightness just a little and precisely turn the phone to whatever location is needed. And then lock it up right there by tightening the thumb screw. Works perfectly and the combination of the spline mount and this adaptor work really well. Like a ball head mount on a large 3-legged tripod. A major upgrade for this kit. At a very reasonable price. This is a nicely made adaptor constructed from quality materials. It works just as I expected. It takes up very little space and weighs next to nothing. I can attach it very easily and it gives good control on the phone rotational angle. If you have a device with a spline type of mount and want to adapt it to threaded camera mount. This is a good adaptor to consider.
