I used this to add a rainbow flavor with a denim yarn for a sweater I made. I got so many compliments on it and git a request to crochet another. Easy to use either with another yarn or on its own.

There's so much I love about this cotton yarn, but the poor dye job is very disappointing. There's a disproportionate amount of the red color, while the purple is too sparse. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, but they are sloppily applied. The gradients are not smooth transitions, they are spotty, and there isn't an even distribution of each color in terms of yarn length. There's 3x as much red as there is any other color, and I didn't get a solid line of any of the other colors because of the splotchiness and shorter lengths of colors. For example, I'm crocheting a scarf that started with 50 chains, the first 3 rows are solid red, the 4th row is mostly red with two splotches of orange and yellow, 5th row is half red and half orange that contains splotches of red and yellow, 6th row is 2/3 orange with splotches of red and yellow and 1/3 yellowish chartreuse, 7th row contains red, orange, yellow and green, 8th row is 3/4 green and 1/4 yellow, rows 9-14 are inconsistent splotches of green, blue and purple that form more of a mosaic than a gradient. Yellow seems to be the most sparse of all and is either slightly orange or green, maybe 2 inches of random true yellow between and can pop up on the opposite side of the gradient scale randomly (chartreuse next to orange and yellow-orange next to green)...very disappointing for what could be such beautiful yarn.

Perfect for my project. Dye colors are bright. String is of consistent thickness and strong.
