Almost like a Flexi

I've been using Flexi retractable leashes for decades. On the surface, this leash is very similar to the Flexi brand, but there are noticeable differences. One major difference is the locking mechanism. This version requires that you push down and pull the outer sleeve backwards in order to lock the length of the leash. Another difference is the thickness of the ribbon. This one is slightly more flimsy and slightly less wide. Other than that, it operates the same. Great dupe for a Flexi.

Lightweight retractable leash for smaller hands

This retractable leash is very lightweight and compact, although a bit too compact for our big hands (we are both over 6'2" tall). The locking mechanism is not the best I have used as it would unlock a little too easily and took some getting used to. The strap is thin and lightweight as well, so I cannot imagine holding back a 35-44# dog with this, but I did not test it with a dog of that size (our pup is 18# of aussiepoo). It never got tangled and untwisted well when retracted.

It's Good - I have a 6lb dog

This is good for my tiny dog. It pulls enough that it always retracts enough that she doesn't get tangled in it. It is loose enough that she can pull against it without any trouble. The locking mechanism doesn't make much sense when you're playing with it in your house but it gets pretty natural when you're out with your dog. It's a push and slide interaction which takes just a little getting used to. It is lightweight and doesn't feel like it will last the next 15 years but we'll see.
