This is the problems with these sensors the wire is so thin it is hard to work with. I should have prefaced this with I am category five hurricane victim of Ian. A month without power or worse the power going on and off during the hurricane destroyed the battery and transformer. Florida is non-union so typical the sensors were installed on the patio doors when you opened the one it knocked the sensors off the other. I fixed that by drilling holes in the corner of the frame to run the wires. this is the problem with these sensors the red light on the keypad came on for patio doors there were 17. I used an ohm's tester but there is no place to test them that is why you need to purchase ones with screws so you can test them to find the problem one.

Needed to apply new window sensors after we had new vinyl windows installed throughout our house. Drilling into new vinyl frames to install hidden sensors voids the warranty. The surface sensors are small and almost undistinguishable from white vinyl window frames.

Used for a DIY smart garage door opener with ESP32 module. Once installed correctly, its been perfectly reliable and I doubt that will change because of how simple it is. Great item for the price and now I have a whole bunch of extras for future projects.
