UPDATE: I got bitten right by my wrist where I was wearing the bracelet!! I do think this helps make someone else more palatable than me but it's not going to be as effective as dousing yourself with deet or picardin. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I thought this bracelet was going to come designed in a way that was easy to slide off and on my wrist but you have to figure out how you want to tie the end. That means it's not "ready to go" for children but it's also not that bad to figure out a way to tie it on. I like that it's good-looking and not an obvious bug bracelet, with a resealable bag. It has a very strong and pleasant smell of citronella and other herbs. I have been testing it without bug spray, but it's always hard to tell if it's the bracelet that is working or fewer mosquitoes in the area that day! So far, though, this meets my expectations compared to other bug bracelets that I have tried, except better-looking. I wlll update this further as i have more experience with running into mosquitoes. Based on past bracelet experiences though, I would assume this will be most successful right where i'm wearing it. I like to pair it with bug clothes.

Work great and are more comfortable than the traditional plastic bungee bracelets. Good quality!

I live in the rural south and the mosquitos are quite an issue where I live. I used these by themselves once with mixed results. It helped...kind of, but I still was bitten. Now when I used it as an additional level of protection while wearing another type of insect repellant, that is how I found it to be most effective. Mosquitos have always seemed especially "attracted to me". No idea why or if that is a real thing, but for someone else who is less bothered by mosquitos...these may be fine on their own.

I use these when I go fishing and they work great. I do wear one on my wrist and one on my ankle because I know how thick the mosquitos can get.

These seem to work fairly well. The odor upon first opening is pretty overwhelming. After some hours, it does lessen.
