Great for FACE products

I originally bought this set to round out brushes for paint by numbers, but upon receiving these, most are much too large for that. I used a couple for crafts (worked well), and the others I figured I'd use as needed. Well, I found a use! These soft but dense nylon brushes, once you break them in by moving the bristles around en masse with your fingers, are perfect for applying face masks and cosmetic products! After washing and drying, I used a round tipped one to apply spot concealer and another to apply a mask. They work so well! And you get so many for the price, it's a great value compared to how much you pay for similar nylon brushes that are marketed for facial use (and are really the same thing, maybe with a different style brush handle). This set is great for so many uses!

Great set

I have been very happy with this set. It comes with everything that any beginner would need and I love the fact that it's portable. Each piece is well-made from quality materials and is easy to use. I also like that the brushes are comfortable to hold onto for long periods. I think the price point is fair and I would recommend it.

Decent quality, though metal to wood joint is slightly wobbly on many

The sponge and palette knife are pretty good quality, and the brushes are nice. However, the place where the metal adjoines the wooden handle is slightly wobbly on about half of the brushes, and the bristles are kind of stiff and may hard to bend. The case is also pretty good quality, and the variety of brush is pretty good. Overall, I'd say it's nice, but may require some careful breaking in and use.

Great Basic Beginners Set

I am no artist and won't be creating any matserpiece paintings anytime soon. However, I do love DIY, painting pottery, etc. but have been wishing I had a larger arsenal of brushes at my disposal. So, I ordered these and I'm very happy with them. I love the variety of brush sizes and thicknesses. It's very helpful, and while these are top quality painters brushes, for what I'm using them for, they should be great.

A good value that allows beginners to try a wide variety of brush shapes and tools

Although these brushes may not be the greatest quality, I really like having this set because it gives me the opportunity to a wide variety of brush shapes and styles in a good value set. Now that I know I like using the fan brush for landscape grasses, oval brush for petals, and flat brush for washes I can replace these as needed with higher quality tools. I have resisted buying a palette knife since I don't mix oil paints, but after seeing a tutorial with someone using the edge of the palette knife to apply watercolor paint to a canvas board, I was immediately able to try that technique myself. The set also includes a sponge which I think is a practical alternative to dab off excess water and paint rather than wasting paper towels. Also, I was able to try a "sponge painting" technique for a textured background effect. I also like that these brushes come in their own case because it makes me feel more "serious" about my art. Overall, I think this is a nice kit, especially for a student or beginner.
