They are 18 Gauge with Ferrites and stronger and thicker 90-degree USB connectors. In time on task tests these cables charged BOTH my Marine and Aviation units faster than the originals. They are all hardwired so the charging is incidental, but the thicker cables will make a difference in power delivery in any case. These cables offer superior performance, and the extra length is certainly appreciated for ease of use. This was a lucky find for me and I am pleased with this set of cables. Will look for the PIXELMAN brand in the future. FIVE STARS! Because they do not offer SIX! Mark in North Carolina
This is a review for Pixelman 18AWG Charging Cable for Garmin GPS,(6.5Ft 2Pcs) Thicker GPS Power Cord,90 Degree Shielding Mini USB Charger Cable,Charging Adapter for Garmin GPS Garmin Drivesmart 65 Zumo Xt Nuvi I needed USB Mini cables to charge some of my radios (don't know why they went with MINI in 2024, but whatever). They did the job just fine. The materials seem good enough, and the radios charged fairly quickly.
Nice long, 18 gauge cables perform as expected, without anything to find fault with. 90 degree mini-USB connector routes the cable in the right direction for windshield use. That about covers this must-have product for Garmins!
Overall this cable worked exactly as it should for providing power to a Garmin GPS. The cable itself does leave a bit of room for improvement as I just would have preferred a braided cable without the bulky bits to make it look better, but it does the job.
