My dog weighs 100 lbs and has a classic rottweiler head and normally wears a 22 inch training collar. That's what I ordered. I was sure it would fit, nope. I gave it to my friend and ordered a 24 inch it will be here on Tuesday. To measure for the collar, measure around the biggest part of the dog's head, add an inch for the ears. If you are between sizes go UP to the next size. The quality is amazing with flat links that have a very fast action but are still loud enough to give the dog a warning first. Now for the thing that I didn't like, the chain was shrink wrapped in plastic that was very hard to get off. Took me 20 minutes to get the dang thing unwrapped LOL overall this is a very nice collar. Used properly it will last you a very long time. Please do not ever tie your dog out in a training collar. They can tighten and choke your dog to death. So I got the new larger collar and the first time I used it, it broke. She's a 100 lbs rottweiler and she saw a cat. She bolted towards it. It broke and the only part I have left is the ring attached to the lead. Very disappointing

This chain turned my dogs fur black. The worst part was that the stain wouldnt just simply wash off either. I had to cut my puppys fur short in order for the stain to not be apparent anymore. This happened after only two days. Not to mention, the first day while putting the necklace on I got a splinter from a fragment of the metal. Unfortunately after attempting to return my item, it somehow very sneaky like opted for me to receive a replacement with no way to cancel the request and I will be charged for ANOTHER necklace if I do not return the 1st chain. I would gladly return the chain in order to get my money back but now Im returning it only to receive another crappy chain. I thought my puppy was going to get to look like a fly little white guy in his new chain, now he is just a fluffy white puppy with a black ring around his neck who looks like he got scammed by a street corner hustler Its just been an all around terrible experience.

Gorgeous, delicate but appears strong, feminine & would work for smaller dogs well because the rings arent HUGE. I ordered this for my large dog who has a quite small neck, 80 lbs & needs an XL harness but a Medium collar all the way extended fits - L is always too big. I wanted this for her sort of everyday with a rose gold name tag charm, but also to be functional. This fit my wants perfect my even after receiving. The rings are small - overall this is a more delicate looking chain yet appears sturdy. I like that it doesnt look ginormous. Will order bigger sizes when in stock. Please note that I personally errored in the size I ordered - so I hope this can help someone else. Her neck is about 16-16.5 inches so I ordered the 18 based on other reviews, which it says 18 on the bag, It is 18 inches in TOTAL length including rings. The chain part itself is about 16.5 inches laid flat, consider some bend & use of chain link when ON dog - so that is why it is too tight as this style collar should hang slightly & be tight only when tensed, instead fits exactly with it all the way extended on her.
