Not Impressed

Returned because the wrong color was shipped. Color problems aside, I chose a refund rather than reordering because of quality issues. While this yarn is soft, the weave is rather loose and the durability is questionable. It wouldn't have worked for my project.

Look forward to using this yarn. Was as promise.

First impressions are OK but buyer beware. I will still reorder because its not bad overall.

CONS: 1. I ordered peacock green. Received dark green which is unusable for my project. 2. My first impression is that its sort of like crocheting with bias tape for those who sew and know what that is. Only this is not made on the bias. 3. Its pretty soft which for some uses might be a PRO. I cant see how this would be stiff enough for a basket or hold up as a bag over time. 4. Some reviewers mentioned it twists when worked, and although I have not completed my project yet, it does show that in the spooling process the product is folded over multiple times. This could contribute to the problem when being worked. You could possibly remedy this by rewinding it into a ball yourself, and untwisting/unfolding as you go. PROS: 1. The first fabric or soft goods item I have ever bought made in China that does NOT smell or have a horrible strong odor. Im very pleased about this. 2. There appears to be the advertised amount of product on the spool. 3. There are no visual tears, snags, or knots on the outside; color seems consistent so far. 4. Could be perfect for a light rug or pillow cover. 5. There is a slight amount of give or stretch to the yarn. This could be a CON for some uses. Be aware.

Ditty bag cords

I wanted to use something other than ribbons for the Christmas at Sea ditty bags I've been making and finding bulk shoelaces at a reasonable price wasn't working. This yarn / cording is perfect. There's a lot of it. It's soft and won't cut hands when in use. I will buy more.

Great item

Very well made. Skein is rolled tightly. Flows nicely. Works up into tight and secure feeling crafts. Decently soft material although the texture can rub some raw spots if you hold the yarn too tight.
