I've been using this card for quite a while before writing this review and I can say for the cost, this card is worth it. I get a full 2.5Gbit when connected to a 10G network and the card has no problem with flaking out, dropping packets or getting squirrelly even over transfer that take sever days. The card keeps outputting like it's supposed to even under full load for extended periods of time. One thing I will note is that it runs extremely hot, so just make sure you have good airflow over the surface of the card and it will be fine. I am sure if you didn't have good movement of air you might run into a problem where the card overheats, but I never had this issue personally because I just made sure it wasn't crammed right up against another card and there was no problem! Installed on a motherboard that didnt have 2.5 and it works great. Can get full download speeds on cable modem internet now. If you dont have a motherboard with 2.5Gb Ethernet port, this is a good upgrade if your internet is faster than 1Gb.

Ordered this NIC to supplant the existing one on my aging motherboard. I recently ordered gigabit service from my ISP and wanted to be sure my NIC exceeded the needed speed ratings. This one works well and should last through at least one more speed upgrade. I did have a minor installation issue with the pins used to hold the heatsink in place on the NIC. The only PCI Expresses slot I had available was the one adjacent to my second video card. There was only minimal clearance between the PCI-e slots. The ends of the pins on this NIC extended just enough to interfere with the video card fan. I pulled the pins, reversed them and reinstalled the NIC. Problem solved. This is a Windows 10 operating system and the correct drivers installed automatically. Awesome!
