In addition to the above, these plates are small enough to clear the battery door on Sony Nex or A7R series, Olympus OMd-M1 series, and Canon R50. (Yes, I use all of the above.) I was short on 1/4 to 3/8 adapters so I bought these plates. The same plate is available from other vendors for a bit less, if you don't need the thread adapters. I tighten these down with a coin. Therefore, I don't have any problem with tightening with the little ring. Given the small surface area, if you want these tight so the camera won't twist, use a nickel or quarter.

The best thing about this product is that it's compatible with both my Canon M50 and my Zomei tripod. The last quick release plate I ordered was fine with my camera, but not the tripod (probably my fault for not reading the dimensions more carefully). At any rate, I'm happy this works with my set up. It seems like a decent product, though if I could change one thing, it would be the little ring on the other side. It's a little harder to grip than my old quick release plate. I mean it works, but rather than swinging down so it's easy to grip, the ring stays in a closed position unless you pry it out, which in my opinion makes it more of a hassle to use. That's the only reason why I didn't give this product five stars. Even with that said, it gets the job done and feels secure, so I'm satisfied.

It's always good to have a backup Arca Swiss plate for my camera, so I decided to order this 2 pack of Arca Swiss plates. They are fairly basic, no frills plates, but they are very lightweight and work well in all my Arca Swiss tripods. I like that they have the thumbscrew for easy installing and uninstalling on my camera, as that just makes things go quicker than having to look for another tool like an allen wrench, It's also nice they included some 3/8" adapters, but so far I haven't needed them. Overall, it's your basic Arca plate, and they work well.
