Uneven, thinner than expected

It's not spun very evenly. Some parts are super thick, and some parts are like thread. Feel like I keep having to change my hook size evey foot or so. Colors are vibrant, and the texture is nice. I'd say it's good for smaller projects, don't expect to be making a blanket or anything with this.

I bought this yarn because of the vibrant colors. It was great for the project I was working on which was crocheting (then felting) coasters and hot pads. It is very thin yarn so, I used double strands which worked out perfectly.

Lovely Yarn Good Value

The colors are gorgeous, the texture is very pleasant to work with. I saw a lot of complaints about the variation in thickness, color, etc. I did see a definite variation in the yarn thickness, just as the seller describes and is consistent with hand-made natural fiber yarn vs machine-made synthetic yarn. It's a lovely textural dimension to work with and I didn't find it unpleasant or difficult to work with or in the finished project. The colors were bright and consistent through all the skeins I purchased, IN TWO DIFFERENT ORDERS, so these were separate dye lots for sure. I can't attest to the colorfastness as I haven't washed this yet, but I'll update the review if anything unexpected happens. Unlike prior 100% wool I've crocheted with; this doesn't smell awful or at all really, it isn't making me itch, and it's remarkably tangle resistant during the bulk between skein and project/hook. Sharp folks might notice my hook is larger than recommended, but due to eyesight and carpal, this works for me, and as you can see, the change works just fine.
