What a disaster! I used this flexible fabric glue to fix a seam in the fly of a pair of light gray rayon blend pants that I wore and washed so many times that the stitching in the fly started to fall apart. As you can see in the photo, the glue left a dark stain on the pants. I followed the directions carefully and even put parchment paper on the top and bottom of the repaired area so that it wouldnt stick to anything if it soaked through. I kept hoping that the stain would go away when the glue dried, but after four days, and the glue was still as dark as ever, I washed the pants. I will say that the glue washed well, but the stain is still there, and I can only wear the pants with a long tunic. I should have tested the glue in an inconspicuous spot before using it in such an exposed area. If I use the glue again, it wont be on anything I care about.

I got this glue to fix a headliner in my car that was starting to lose adhesion, see the attached pictures. The first thing that impressed me is the cap that was included with the glue, it has a rod that goes into the nozzle to prevent the nozzle from getting clogged. The glue is easy to work with but tends to form strings as the nozzle is pulled away from the work surface. As I was gluing up the headliner a glob of glue fell on my steering wheel. I assumed I would have to go grab mineral spirits of acetone, but I was able to wipe it away with no residue with a soft dry cloth. The headliner is holding up great with no discoloration from the glue. Additionally, I glued together a old t-shirt hem to test for strength and flexibility. After 24 hours the T-shirt hem was firmly held together and as flexible as the rest of the material. Pulling the glued hem apart took less force than I expected, so I would not use the glue in place of a stitched seam. Overall, the glue works as intended, just do not expect miracles.

Used this to secure seams on two of my dogs toys. He doesnt destroy toys but the seams popped open. After using the product as directed the seams are secured and the toys are still firmly intact even after tug of war!

There is a uniquely sickening feeling when you realize that one of your most comfortable, cherished accessories or articles of clothing has become damaged to the point that to continue wearing it would surely provoke ridicule from your coworkers and disapproving head nods from your significant other. Weve all worn at least a few those beloved pieces fully into the ground but sometimes, fortunately, a simple repair can help extend the life of that favorite piece for just a bit longer. Thus, although this fabric glue is not suitable for every type of situation, I figured that it would be perfect for helping me salvage my favorite everyday leather work belt. Unlike many other common super-glues and adhesives which can emit intense and noxious odors while noticeable, this products smell is manageable and fades completely once cured. The package includes a needle nose type applicator tip which is great for accessing those hard-to-reach spots. Additionally, there is separate tool (albeit a diminutive, plastic one) for spreading the glue evenly, once applied. Thankfully, I was able to use this fabric glue to successfully rebind the leather layers on my favorite belt thus staying its demise at least indefinitely. Although the instructions recommend utilizing rubber bands or clips to help the materials bond together once the glue has been applied I simply placed my belt on a table top, applied the glue, then piled a few heavy coffee-table books on top while leaving it to cure overnight. Once compressed, the glued pieces will certainly leak at least somewhat, so make sure to remove as much of the excess glue as possible before setting to dry. I havent encountered any discoloration from the glue to the leather on my belt and Im happy to report that one week following the repair, after repeated daily use my prized belt seems to be holding strong! So dont throw out that damaged accessory or piece of clothing just yet, this fabric glue may help salvage some of your favorites as well.

I don't usually use fabric glue, because I trust a machine stitch better, even though there is one fabric glue I'll use for some things. But I'm working on a project that requires several lengths of Velcro on thick double layered fabric, and my machine wasn't giving me a pretty stitch. When I broke a denim needle, I found this glue, so I tried it. I followed the directions for using it and I waited 24 hours for it to dry. When I tested it today, I found that I could easily lift the Velcro from the fabric, and I hadn't even attached it to the other side, also the glue left a stain on the fabric. Good thing that I'll be stitching over it. I'm defiantly going to be returning this. UPDATE: I have always have several projects going at once, so it took me a couple of weeks to get back to this one. I noticed that when I took the rest of the clothes pins off the glued area, that it was glued fair securely and luckily the thick parts were strongly adhered to the fabric, so I only had to stitch down the loose parts on the thin parts. I decided to try it again, this time placing several clothes pin on the glued area to anchor it thoroughly while the glue dried. Binder clips would probably work well too. I let it dry for days, not just 24 hours. It was so well glued, that I had to pry a couple of the clothes pins off! So it does work really well, it was the operator at fault. You just have to be patient and through.
