I really wanted to like the Buowinixi Reusable 'Paper' Towels, but the product just didn't really come together well for me. These are basically thin, cotton towels wrapped around a simple cardboard tube. GREAT IDEA/NOT SO GREAT IMPLEMENTATION I do think that idea is a great one. Rolls of paper towels are incredibly convenient. They come in a roll you can set up on your kitchen counter and you pull off the towels as you need them. Take that idea, but, instead, use 100% cotton towels and wrap them up in a convenient roll for on-demand use and it really seems like you might have something there... Sadly, the idea--although a great one--does not translate too well into this product. 100% COTTON TOWELS/WASH COLD AND DRY LOW TO AVOID SHRINKAGE On the bright side, you get 20 cotton, waffle-weave towels that are 11 1/2" x 9 1/2". In the interest of making them more paper-like, they are thinner than regular towels. The thinness allows more towels to fit on the roll, I suppose. The towels are certainly absorbent, but given their thinness they do not absorb as much liquid as similarly sized, normal-thickness towels. The first time my wife washed them, they washed pretty nicely and did not shrink appreciably. However, when I washed them the towels shrunk down to 9 3/4" by 8 1/2"--a very significant amount of shrinkage. I tend to wash in warm but dried them on high heat. My wife tends to wash cold and dry low to medium Maybe that's the difference. But the towels were not all that big to begin with and are now washcloth size. They still do work but look a little bit silly on the large roll. Ah, well... DON'T REALLY STAY ON THE TUBE The towels come wrapped around a plain cardboard tube. This looks great when the towels arrived, but gravity pulls the towels down once the paper is removed. I put the towels on an upright, countertop paper towel holder. The towels look a little sad and tend to unravel and fall off as you pull them off the roll. This does not work much better with the level kind of towel dispenser, where you often get more towels off with a pull and as you reach the end of the roll the last towels just fall off. Of course, the towels are simply cotton towels--there is no mechanism to have them stick together other than a little friction. And the roll is just a cardboard towel roll. You'd get about the same product if you used your old paper towel roll and wrapped some of your existing dish towels around it. There's no groove to hold the last towel in place and nothing that keeps the towels adherent to one another so you get just one at a time off the roll. CONCLUSION: So what you get are some okay, but too-thin, towels that don't quite stay on the roll and shrink unless washed very gently. Sadly, these are not as convenient as paper towels and not a great paper towel substitute. Although it has a different esthetic, these towels might have worked better if placed in a counter top box that functioned more like a tissue dispenser. I really do think that this is an idea that should be pursued. To really make it fly, though, it would really need a little more deep thought to make it more convenient. .

They must have an every kitchen. They clean up very well. They are easy to wash and reuse. You will not want to go back to regular paper towels. Great way to say money highly recommend.

I like these cloths very much for many things, including wiping up water that may have overflowed in the refrigerator dispenser, or small puddles after washing dishes, etc. They are very nice to substitute for paper towels for other functions like wiping dust from a surface, both dry and damp from water. I am not convinced that using these for anything that has to do with food (prep, as a napkin, etc.) or wiping up coffee drips (as their photo shows) is going to be a good idea, especially long-term. These are going to stain, so if you are okay with re-using stained (but clean) "napkins", this is fine. Otherwise, if you limit your use to drying hands, wiping down stray water puddles around the house, or drying off a dish you quickly washed, these are fine. They do not come on or stay on a roll, so that photo is deceiving. Also, since you are looking for these to be absorbent, I would not wash them with any fabric softener, as that leaves a waxy residue and therefore limits fabric's ability to absorb.

This is an interesting concept, but in reality a disappointment. The rags are wrapped around the paper tube that is smaller than the standard paper towel tube so it doesnt fit. Even if it did, its hard to imagine the rags being dispensed in a coherent way. They work OK for wiping up, but then your left with a bunch of rags to store, wash, dry and assembled in some fashion to reuse. Im sticking with my hassle-free paper towels.
