Hollow shell with small battery inside.

If you are looking for a genuine D-size rechargeable lithium battery, look elsewhere. This is a D-size shell with a small battery inside. The photo shows a genuine AA-size rechargeable lithium battery from a major brand, and it weighs 19 grams. This fake D-size weighs 48 grams. Just doing the math ratios suggests that this fake D-size has a maximum capacity of a bit over ~8000 mWh. Given the weight of the shell this is probably a very generous estimate, and says nothing about the quality of the battery inside. Very disappointing.

D Size But Not D Capacity

I have an old Maglight that i seldom use but keep around as an emergency flashlight. Its alkaline D batteries are now about 10 years old and need to be replaced, so I ordered these Li-ion batteries with the thought that I could just top off their charge every year or two and still be able to rely on them. However my first inkling that they might not be up to the job was when they arrived and I found that they were obviously much lighter weight than the usual D cells. From the specs I found that they have somewhere around 20-25% of the capacity of an alkaline battery. I should have checked more carefully. Lesson learned.

Lightweight rechargeable Li-ion D Cell Batteries

I ordered the CHICNOD Rechargeable Lithium-ion D-Cell Batteries because these batteries hold higher voltage charge but weigh significantly less than Ni-MH or alkaline batteries. This is great when powering up the handheld battle toys like the Nerf motorized blasters. These cells also recharge conveniently and quickly with the USB-C cables. Interesting observation: The Li-ion batteries dont seem to last as long as the NiMH batteries rated with the same energy capacity. However, the Li-ion batteries will be at the same high level power until they suddenly stop working, as if a switch was turned off. The Ni-MH and alkaline batteries gradually lose power and stop working much later. High power for a shorter duration is actually much more fun!

Work great on flameless candles

I got these rechargeable D batteries to use in my flameless candle. They charged up quickly and were ready to go. My candles go on every day for 4 hours and these batteries last about a month before needing to be recharged. They come with a USB charging cord that allows you to charge both at the same time.

Poor execution

Great idea to have rechargeable c batteries that plug in with a USB c cord. There's no way this is the capacity of a C battery. They charge fairly quickly but I presume that's because the overall capacity isn't very large. I use these for a small pump I have which works but if you're wanting to use these for something that will give it a long charge then these are not what I would recommend.
