3.7V 2000mAh LIP1522 Replacement Battery with Big and Small Plug for Playstation 4 PS4 Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller (1-Pack)...

This was my first time installing a battery in a gaming console controller and for the most part it went well. The hardest part is taking it apart because the two controller halves are clipped together very well. After I had the battery and new charging circuit board (more on that later) installed, I accidentally pressed the PS button and my PS4 powered up. I thought that's a good sign that it works, but I immediately noticed that the controller light was always on as if the controller was charging even though it wasn't plugged in. It even showed this condition on screen and with the PS4 shut off. It worked just fine when playing a game. I had to work that night and decided to leave it unplugged to see what would happen in the morning when I got home and... it was dead dead. It didn't light up at all and it was once again a paperweight. So this controller was a year or so old when I bought a new 10 foot Sony DS4 charging cable. As soon as I plugged it into the above mentioned controller, the light lit up once like it was going to charge and poof... it was dead. I thought I did something to the charging port because it was hard pushing it in. So that's what prompted me to order a charging circuit board (with correct part numbers) along with this battery. I don't think there was a problem with the charging port. And I'm not sure what could've been the problem with the new battery other than it wasn't the same mAh rating, which I didn't think that would matter as long as the voltage and connections are the same. Either get the correct battery or buy a new controller. The way I looked at this project was either I was going to save myself about $45 if it worked or I was going to be out $20 if it didn't. In this case, it worked but still wound up with a dead controller.

If you have a ps4 controller and need a new battery, and buy this product dont use the big cord use the small one, I dont have a clue to what the big one is for. Also make sure not to test if the battery works by turning the controller on and to plug the controller in immediately after changing it

Worked good first time after installing, and now wont hold a charge at all, totally dead. Wouldnt recommend.
