Scaredy Cat

My cat is scared of this brush, especially when it is on. The noise that it makes seems to make him uncomfortable and very alert. Like its going to hurt him or something. I did notice though that he does let me use it when it is off, and it works well for just normal brushing. I wish I could use it the way it is needed for, with all the shedding issues that most pets can have when not brushed regularly. I also would have allowed for me to keep his coat cleaner of use and keep the matting down. I will try easing him into it and see if that helps him not be scared.

i used this brush on my dogs, i actually put a flea solution in the inside, it works fine and definitely will collect loose hair on your pet the only issue is when the hair is on the brush the stream of spray is blocked by the hair and the stream isn't that strong when it isn't blocked, so it just depends on how strong a stream of spray you want on your pet

Easier to contain cat fur

This type of cat brush is really more of a misting brush than a steaming brush, so don't worry about it hurting your cat. The mist helps keep static electricity from building up as you brush your cat, and if your cat is, shall we say, bad at personal hygiene, this really helps clean their fur and make it smoother and softer to the touch. You can add a bit of shampoo to the water to help with the cleanliness, but make sure you use a cat-safe product and don't overdo it so they don't ingest anything harmful. All that being said, this helps keep fur from flying all over when you're brushing your cat, but it does clog up with fur and require you to stop and pull the fur out much more frequently than a large slicker brush.

I was concerned about using steam on the kitties. My fears were alleviated when I realized the steam is only as hot as the water that is put in, and that there wasn't a heater inside. My hubby uses it on my Mainecoon mix and Skittles likes it. It does a good job at getting the loose fur off. It's worth trying out.
