These "envelopes" are really more like bags. It didn't really dawn on me that "embroidered" meant they would be fabric, and even when I realized it, I still hadn't anticipated how big these are. You could practically fit a whole stack of bills in any one of them. I used a couple of them as gift bags to hold the prizes for out Lunar New Year event at my school. They were a big hit! Very elegant, and the designs were beautiful! Each one was so unique! I would love to get one as a gift, and I appreciate that they aren't limited to any particular year (like the year of the rabbit, etc.). My only issue was that they were a little difficult to open initially. The ones with snaps were really hard to open and I was afraid I would break the snaps. The ones with the beautiful knotwork were also a little complicated. I imagine that they would get easier with use. As Lunar New Year is a new holiday for me to celebrate, I'm not sure what the etiquette is for re-using the envelopes, but if it isn't considered bad luck, I would imagine these could be re-used for several years in a row and still be beautiful.

Today we're looking at UNIIDECO's Lunar New Year Red Envelopes. - Build: This product is very well-made. The product is made from cloth textile material that is as plush as it is durable. We have purchased and reviewed many red envelopes over the years, and we can say definitively that this is the highest quality set we have ever seen. Most red envelopes are made out of paper, whereas this is embroidered cloth, which appears to be a silk-polyester blend (we are not sure as the manufacturer did not disclose the material used). We tested this product with 3 pounds of sustained stretching for a period of 3 minutes and found no deformation or other damage as a result. We assess that this product will last indefinitelty with occasional use, and when given proper care. - Price: At the time of writing, this product is priced comparably to other products on the market. The red envelope niche is highly saturated with competitors, and we noted that comparable products generally came in at both lower and higher price points. However, we note that this product is made of actual heavy-duty cloth, is highly detailed, and contains a jade(?) accessory. For these reasons, we consider this product to be an amazing value. Top marks. - Function/Feel: This product works as intended. This product is soft to the touch and has a desirable luxurious feel to it. The seal is an actual plastic button, allowing this envelope to be used and reused in perpetuity. Top marks. - Aesthetics: We love the look of this red envelope set. This is among the most well-detailed red envelopes we have seen, from the embroidered print to the addition of the jade(?) accessory.
