I'm surprised by the solid thickness of this chain. I bought this for my horse gate as we currently wrap a spare lead around and this will be a permanent option to leave right on the gate. The snaps are solid and the springs both work. Love that things now come in black it looks extra nice. This item is heavier than I expected and I suspect it will work perfectly for my needs.

This heavy duty chain is perfect for holding our heavy water buckets on the outside of our stalls. We just thread it through the stall bars, put the flat side of the bucket against the stall and attach the heavy duty snaps to the handle. It gives a very secure hold and the stainless steel will not rust. We'll also take the chain on the road with us when hauling horses. It will tie the water bucket very securely on a fence post. You can use the chain for lots of purposes. Certainly plenty strong to latch a round pen gate. We love it.
