This is a cool gadget having the lighter and flashlight all in one. It is great for outdoor activities especially in windy conditions. It is waterproof as well. It does take a bit of getting used to not having an actual flame. Overall, nice lighter, good price, and very giftable.

I have a solar chargeable battery, so this lighter is perfect for backpacking. No longer have to worry about a lighter running out of fuel! This is a well made and good quality lighter!

Electric cigarette lighters are a lifesaver if you are in a windy place and need a light. This one has a latch to keep it closed so you don't accidentally light it in your pocket or bag. It is rechargable (comes with a cable, but you can use one you already have), and it has a battery indicator light so you know when to recharge. You have to keep it open to charge, but it will not light when plugged in for safety. Due to the location/design of the arc, you do have to almost touch it in order to actually light anything, but that's probably safer. I got this to use in the car so I don't have to roll up the windows as I normally do with a traditional lighter. Hopefully the clear exterior plastic housing will hold up, but for now this is a convenient and useful item for me!

First off, this electronic lighter looks awesome! Theres a cutaway showing the circuit board and battery indicator lights and the entire lighter is housed in what appears to be a waterproof or water-resistant clear case. It comes in a nice box, and the usb cable and tether are inside under the tray. Opening it took me a minute to figure out: theres a latch that must be opened, a button that says push, and then you can lift the lid. I was expecting it to spring open, so that last step was my issue. The lighter works by generating a spark between four posts. This is great for cigarettes or fireworks, but you will want to be aware it does NOT generate a flame - so its mostly useless for campfires, BBQs, etc. I say mostly useless because there is one additional cool feature! Down the side, toward the bottom of the lighter is an additional rubber button. Pressing this turns on a bright LED light with multiple modes, including a slow strobe/flash. Flashlights are always useful so even if you arent a smoker this rechargeable lighter is a good item to pack in your go bag, vehicle, or just as a cool EDC item to wow your friends. I was fortunate to receive the lighter on one of the windiest afternoons of the year. Unlike a traditional flame lighter, this electronic lighter works effortlessly in windy conditions. Pros: Looks cool Rechargeable (USB) Waterproof Works in wind Flashlight Cons: Works great for cigarettes and fireworks, but will not work (easily) for campfires, bonfires, BBQ grills or that last little bit in your votive candle.

This is one cool lighter. You can light basically anything you can reach with its plasma arc electrodes mounted on top of the extendable and flexible goose neck. My best use so far is using this to safely light my butane camp stove while keeping my fingers at a safe distance. With other standard-style lighters, Id have to get the flame or the plasma beam directly in the path of the butane gas and risk getting burned. This lighter has two electrodes and produces one arc. Some electric lighters have four electrodes and produce a dual arc but you only need one arc to light a fire, and this lighter proves it. This baby now goes everywhere with me.
