I bought the Victiv 72 inch Camera Tripod last year which is an excellent tripod for the money. I use it primarily for my small space spotting scope and binoculars, but will sometimes use it for my cell phone or video camera. I recently lost the mounting plate that came with it when I disposed of my old binoculars and forgot to take off the attached mounting plate, DUH! So I needed to replace the plate and bought a pair of these. They are exactly like the originals and work great. So now I keep one in a handy place where I know I'll find it and one on the tripod at all times. My ex borrowed my tripod right after I bought it and returned it sans adapter. He insisted there wasn't one - which isn't likely since he had no issues using it - but then he never was the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm betting it sits in the bottom of his Nikon bag and he has no idea what it is or where it came from. Anyhow, I kept forgetting about the missing part until I would pull out the pod to use it. Then I would try to jerry-rig it up which was never successful. Ugh! I finally got smart and searched for a replacement. This was the first that came up and it fits perfectly on my Mactrem PT55.
