I really wish the manufacturers of these adapters would spend one second to properly manufacture the inside connections to be compatible with TRRS plugs, even if the output plug is only TRS. For those who don't know, plugs get categorized by the connections on the shaft. A stereo plug is TRS, standing for Tip, Ring, and Sleeve, respectively. This is the connection used on stereo headphones. TRRS (Tip, Ring, Ring, Sleeve) is found on headsets and headphones with microphones, such as earbuds with microphones and Apple earpods. These adapters are not configured for TRRS, resulting in audio that becomes mono, lacks certain frequencies, and sounds terrible, making TRRS devices unusable. High-quality adapters are manufactured to produce clean audio from a TRRS plug even if the output is TRS, only the microphone on the headset/headphones won't work. I was hoping these would be compatible as I prefer this style over the other adapters with a concave 3.5mm port. In short, if using these adapters for TRS devices only, 5 Stars. 1 Star for TRRS compatibility in cases such as wanting to use TRRS headphones, headsets, or earbuds with a guitar amp, keyboard, etc.

These work great! Lock up is secure and fitment is pretty tight. It's too early to see how they'll hold up over years, but at the price, these are practically consumable. In a professional setting, you'll know you need to have lots of these around, and they work great. I don't know who's using TRRS with these, but that's not a fault of the maker.
