I like to do acrylic painting and often enjoy using different tools to create texture. when I saw these tools, I immediately saw the potential for new creativity. the different shapes all create different ways of moving the paint around. It's been so fun! The silicone ends are soft and allow smooth flow. I think these are originally designed for quilting but since i don't quilt, I cannot speak to how they work for that purpose. I think these might also be good for makeup applications.

I thought the ends would be hard so as to hold fabric when ironing. I dont know if the similar name brand product is also soft, or if it is hard. Doesnt really work for quilting.

I ordered this set of sewing stiletto tools to help hold down the fabric with tough-to-sew projects. I had the perfect piece to test them on just waiting for these to arrive! I needed to manually make a new buttonhole in a quilted purse without taking the purse apart. I gave each tool a turn at helping me hold the fabric, and they worked. The silicone tips bend too much to assist in putting pressure on the fabric, but they serve to provide a buffer between the presser foot and my fingers, and they're thick enough to not get caught up under the presser foot. The grips are made of hard plastic and they're comfortable to hold because of their width and length. I can see where these will be very helpful with sewing my quilt bindings. Overall, these make decent sewing stiletto tools.
