These paint pens were ideal for my DIY projects, providing a sturdy and long-lasting finish.

These are standard paint pens fills with oil based silver and gold ink. They worked well. Like other paint pens you press a few times to get the nib saturated then you can use them. Ink flowed smoothly once started. Silver and gold show up well on dark colors. Excellent paint pens. They are great for outlining the outside of a piece of cheap cardstock in gold or silver as a piece of layering card instead of having to buy expensive silver and gold cardstock.

I bought these for a particular reason of being able to make the edges of certain crafts look to be gold or silver. For example, I use those wooden circular cut-outs you've seen to paint on or do those pour-painting/fluid art type projects--this works great to do along the edge making it look more finished. The other craft I use this for is when I make things with epoxy/resin--such as those serving trays you may have seen. Instead of the edge being the same as the rest of the finished product, I add either gold or silver to the edge and it gives it a much better finished (less hand-made) look. I feel it increases the value of the crafts I am making to sell for profit making these an excellent value. I would highly recommend and will plan to buy more when I run out of these eventually. I would give them a try!

These paint pens are oil based as opposed to acrylic based pens. These pens, when first used, require that you press the tip in, just enough to prime the tip with the oil paint. It took me 3-4 QUICK tip presses to prime it, but on the first I held it for about a second and oil paint leaked all out in a poolso prime on a throw-away scrap of something. These work on pre-primed oil canvas, and the colors are crisp and vibrant. Just remember to allow enough dry time, as they are oil based, and depending on how thick you lay it down (like a glob of a mess) it can take several minutes to dry (not days, though). The tip is like a rounded marker, so you probably wont be able to get really fine lines, but something closer to lines that are about inch thick. But theyre a decent set of metallic paint markers to have in your toolset.

This set of 6 oil-based paint pens in gold and silver come boxed to keep all of them together. They are shrinkbanded to ensure that they don't leak in transit or dry out before they are put into service. To initiate use, they need to be well-shaken, then opened and the tip pressed (hard!) so it goes into the pen body and released the ink into the nib. Do this on a piece of paper because excess ink will come out. You need some kind of spirits for clean up, water will not do it. It lays down a nice opaque line of either gold or silver that dries fairly quickly to a very permanent, smudge-free finish. These are very nice paint pens to have for decorating a wide variety of surfaces.
