Historically, I have repeatedly tried to rivet metal jean buttons onto old jeans. Those always wind up falling off. These metal buttons are actually screwed onto the denim via a screw through the denim. Almost perfect. Doubled denim is thick. I feel that the screws should be a bit longer to accommodate the denim thickness and still seat firmly in the button's back. Also, it's not easy to get the screws threaded into the buttons. All that aside, this kit contains an assortment of buttons that should repair any jeans missing a riveted button. However, I think the screws are too short to repair some jeans. If you have old jeans in your closet, these are worth a try for their resurrection. These would also be cute for totes and bags. Yes, I'd order these again.

I have a jean jacket that was missing a button when I bought it a few years ago. I've been using a decorative pin as a place holder until I found another button. I finally found a suitable replacement in this assortment of jean buttons. The button was very easy to attach. I pushed the screw through the existing hole in the jacket, attached and tightened the button by hand, then used the included screwdriver to finish tightening the screw from the back. The replacement button doesn't have the weight or thickness of the original. It doesn't really matter since I don't normally button denim jackets. I am able to button it though. The jacket looks old and worn, and it doesn't matter that the new button is slightly different. I doubt anyone would even notice. I'm 100% pleased with the product.
