I recently got a stainless steel refrigerator that is not magnetic and wanted something for family organization and covering areas bound to get covered in finger prints that was easy to clean and didn't leave a residue. I was really skeptical when I first saw the backing but it actually works really well. I can easily move the boards/mats wherever I want them on the smooth surface of our fridge with any issues. The pens take a second before they start to write nicely, so just scribble a bunch first before actually trying to write anything and they will do great. The magnet hidden in the cap came in handy since I don't want to risk residue from adhesive and the sides of my refrigerator are magnetic just not the front. This little detail allowed me to choose not to use the adhesive dryerase marker holders and instead just use that tiny magnet. It's only been a day but I'm excited and the surface feels like a really good dry erase surface. So far I like this. I was looking for a white board that I could put up in our RV as we work on projects and possibly for reminders after.. I did not want to put holes in the walls and anyway was not sure they were string enough to hold a heavy board. This seems to do the trick. Sticks to the "wood" panel wall without leaving a residue or stickiness on the wall. Easy to replace if you get it a bit crooked the first time (which I of course did). Plus, there are two in the pack so you can put them up side by side or in two separate spots. (I left the second one in the package to use some other time or as a spare). The pens come with a spongy top to use as an eraser (I presume) and they come with a holder that can be stuck on the wall next to the "board". That becomes a reason for only 4 stars (and maybe should be a bit less like 3.5stars due to that. The sticky part of the pen holders is not easy moved. It is a sort of more permanent stick. Therefore you don't see it stuck in my picture. I have to figure a way to stick it in a less permanent way. The other downsides are 1. Only two pens, the description gives the impression there are several of different colors. 2. The instructions are not clear really 3. The sticky back is a bit tricky - no design to show which side of the "board" it is or a specific spot that allows you to know where to peel the back off. 4. Not sure if this is a downside or not.. the "board" is not stiff, so if you put it on a lumpy surface, that would come through when you write or draw on it. Overall, I think this is a pretty good deal and will update if it looses it's stick or peels away from the wall too quickly ( whatever too quickly means lol) Note to manufacturer or seller... make the part for the pen holders also restickable!

Love this product. Bought this for work and it came with 2 sheets, so I shared one with my assistant. She loves it and it works well. It's not big or bulky, cleans well, and has cut down on our use of sticky notes

I think this product would stick on just about anything, including brick or masonry. With that said, there was no residue when I pulled it off BUT I didn't keep it on for more than 1 minute. I was very skeptical to put it on our fridge, thinking it may leave something behind. Over time, I'm not sure I'd trust it on a painted wall (possibly in direct sunlight). It may peel off paint if left on for a long time. That's just me being paranoid. There is nothing "dry erase" about this product. I sprayed "lens cleaner" (it was on my desk, so I tried it). Writing turned into a big "smudge". I sprayed it again and flipped the towel and got it all cleaned off. Dry erasing DID NOT work at all with it laying flat and heavy pressure. You could use your fingernail but the you'll end up scratching the black surface which will show. Awesome adhesion, brilliant colors, and looks cool warrants 3 stars. Dry erase claim (-2) stars.
