9V Batteries Alkaline 9 Volt Battery 8 Pack for Smoke Detector, Square Smoke Alarm Batteries Long-Lasting...

I ordered these to replace aging batteries in my smoke detectors and CO2 detectors. They perform as they should. I can't speak to longevity so we'll see. But so far they work well.

These batteries fit well where such 9V alkaline batteries are required. They check on the upper side of green on the battery tester, and using one of them so far caused no surprises. As for the long term storage, I can only trust the nine years claim. Though I find the picture stating one of these batteries is like three regular ones misleading: the comparison is for shelf life, and three alkaline batteries that expire in three years are all gone at the three years mark, they dont last nine years by adding on top of each other. And if its about storing, the capacity of this battery isnt necessarily three times higher to last three times longer. So, these are good batteries, but not the equivalent of three batteries of some other brand.

I admit that I never seem to have a functioning smoke detector or CO2 detector only because I never have any 9V batteries handy. I mean, it's the only thing that I own that takes them and the batteries seem to last forever. So, I'm very happy to now have an 8 pack so that I can be sure that my smoke alarm is working, and I don't expire in my sleep from CO2! These work well, and the expiration date is long in the future. Oh! I do have one other think that takes a 9V, a metal detector! So, now I have extra for treasure hunting as well!

As soon as I got this package of fresh batteries, it was time to replace the old one inside my vintage transistor radio. It is from the 70's, and works Way better than the radios they make nowadays, IF it has a good fresh battery in it, like these ones. I like to have my old school radio going, and listen to some good music, while cleaning, cooking, etc.. It makes the time go by faster, and makes everything more enjoyable. When I put in one of these ALLENERGY batteries, my radio immediately came to life, and I was able to enjoy my music again. Thanks ALLENERGY. One major thing that I really like about these batteries, is that they have a leak proof design. That may not sound so important, but I have had good stuff of mine ruined, like flashlights, all because of leaky batteries. Not to mention how bad and dangerous they can be to handle, when they're leaking battery acid. Buying batteries this way, in an economical mega-pack of 8 batteries, is a surefire way to save money too, that's for sure. I also like the fact that this is reliable DC power that I can count on, because it has such a LONG shelf life even. These batteries will Still be good in 2034! Can you believe it? My motto has always been: Be Prepared. Don't wait until your smoke detector is making that super annoying periodic beeping sound. Or, your kid's toy quits working, late at night, and you don't feel like running to the store. Be proactive and stock up now beforehand. You'll be very glad you did, when unexpected stuff like that happens. I give this value pack of ALLENERGY 9 volt batteries a 5-STAR recommendation. A very good product and deal.

I cannot fully review these Chinese-brand batteries unless I install one in a smoke detector, then get into my Tardis, go forward in time a year, and see if it is still working. And then go forward another 9 years to see if they're still holding the promised 10-year charge. That said, they worked out of the box and seem to be constructed well. The question is if they will deliver on promises. I doubt they will match Energizer performance. But, at $13 they're cheap when deals on American-branded 9V batteries are hard to come by. My rating system: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value! 4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy. 3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised. 2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews! 1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.
