Using these for security cameras and they do a good job

These are ABS and I was hesitant about that since I like the metal ones but these work great. They include all the needed screws for mounting them and have rubber grommets to keep things secure after you run the wires. I recommend putting the hinge at the bottom when you mount unless the box is in a protected area. Overall I am pleased with these.

Cheaply build Non-Waterproof CCTV Junction Box

Junction box arrived in a sturdy box without any padding material. Since this is plastic box with single hinge it was OK as plastic doesn't get chipped. What surprised me is claim that it was waterproof yet it doesn't have a round gasket where the lid meets the base (on the single hinge). Box features predrilled (but not knocked out) holes with various numbers and letters (assuming for different mounting layouts) .. however when I tried to line up external dome reaolink camera I couldn't find any 4 holes to line up with the camera base which make me come to conclusion that its only for 3 screw bases, as the quad (4 screw camera bases are incompatible with it). The "waterpoof features" are only where the cable holes are as it has rubber grommets. The overall feel of the junction box feels cheap and it has couple shortfalls like missing gasket to seal up the lid yet claiming to be waterproof and unable to accommodate 4 screw mounting bases on most of the dome cameras.

I do a lot of camera installations and these boxes are a lifesaver No matter whether the cameras are analog or digital, the connections to the cables are often bulky and obtrusive Without these camera junction boxes, installations are a cosmetic nightmare Be sure to check the size and length of your assembled connectiors Some waterproof Ethernet adapters are quite long and wont fit These boxes are made of a thick plastic Easy to mount and have pretty pre drilled holes to fit most any smaller camera Excellent value for a pair of these junction boxes

Universal mounting box

I use these to mount security cameras. so far I have had boxes from 2 manufacturers. In both cases I was not able to get 4 screw hole patterns to line up, and either used just 2-3, or drilled and tapped my own. In either case they are useful starters, getting some screw holes to match. With so many cameras flooding the market you cannot count on a 100% match. I haven't tried this brand out yet, but I expect the same results as previously. Thus I see the difficulty for manufacturers to cover all possibilities, and have no complaints.
